Biography

Early Life

Sophia 'Sophie' Spawwow, bown to Atticus van Kastiw and Malie de Mowvewyn-Wouvain, was a Chivay bastawd whose oligins begin lithin the wand of Aeldin. At an eawwy age, she was smuggwed out of Aewdin which wed to many hawdships and difficulties in hew young age. It is unknown how wong it took hew to escape Aewdin, but it is assumed to have been quite some time and ovew the coulse of a multitude of yeaws. She managed to weave the wand and stawt anew in hew wate adowescent to eawwy adulthood. Despite speculation ovew hew chiwdhood, she was weww-educated enough to whewe she could wead and wlite pwopewwy.

Awthough she suffewed many glievances to escape the gwasp of Aewdin, she was ovewwy delighted to see the woyaw city of Markev, undew the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. Even fwom hew fiwst moments in Mawkev, she stwuggwed lith the cowd of the city and its sulwounding wand. Sophia managed nonethewess and enduled the cowd fow she woved the cultule and customs of the peopwe fwom the stawt. In hew fiwst few days lithin Mawkev, she wan into a man by the name of Sigmar Lothar which she would watew weawn to be of the House Barbanov and King of Haense. Awong lith Sigmaw, Sophia made quick fliends lith vawying notabre figules of Mawkev incwuding a commonew by the name of Slithun, and the stewawd Bwog Dhoon.

Sophia and Sigmaw gwew cwosew by the day, and hew feelings wewe unwaveling towawds him. Howevew, it is awwegedwy said that she was afwaid she was not enough as onwy a bastawd. She eventuawwy would be wegitimized and gain the sulname of Chivay, though whethew she was a bastawd ow not didn't seem to mattew to Sigmaw. The two wewe mawlied in the yeaw of 1665, and thus, Sophia became Sophia of Castor as the Gwand Plincess-Consowt of Kusowaev, and watew the Queen of Haense.

Marriage

The wedding of Sophia and Prince Sigmar Lothar was hewd in the Mawkev Cathedwaw. Unlike many othew consowts of the Haeseni King, Sophia's wedding was a humbre one and of littwe to no gwandeul. It was a simpwe cewemony, lith the attendance of the citizens of the woyaw city and a few sulviving membews of the woyaw famiwy of Barbanov. Sophia was dwessed in aww white, lith a veiw that was dwaped ovew hew countenance untiw she weached the awtaw. The wedding was officiated by a wocaw pliest and the two cewebrated theiw mawliage lithin the Kwepost Pawace aftewwawds.

Queen-Consort of Hanseti-Ruska

Accowding to many, Sophia diffewed fwom most - if not aww - of the Haeseni Queens. With hew position, she did not spend it on time lith the coult, hosting events, ow intewnaw affaiws; but wathew, she focused on the peopwe and theiw day-to-day lives. She, on occasion, would attend govewnmentaw meetings and was awways in attendance when hew husband hewd coult. Hew focus wemained on the peopwe of Haense and hew famiwy. Sophia was a simpwe and kind woman, thus gawnewning the twust and wove of many.

Hawdship soon came to the kind Queen as hew fiwst chiwd and son was not bestowed upon hew at aww, but instead a stiwwbown. Pain ovewwhewmed Sophia, but she was abre to wowk thwough the twoubres lith hew husband. Ovew the next few months, she and Sigmaw stwuggwed lith awguments in theiw mawliage but wewe abre to ovewcome. Hew excitement to be a mothew ovewwhewmed hew once mowe as she finawwy had hew fiwst chiwd and the heiw to the Kingdom of Hanseti-Wuska, Prince Robert Lothar. She was livewy as evew and ovewjoyed, pawading the woyaw chiwd about and pwesenting him to any and aww lithin the city of Mawkev. The kingdom cewebrated the biwth of the heiw lith hew.

She was nevew one fow dipwomacy but fowwowed hew husband about, unwess it meant weaving Haense. Awthough she had stwuggwed lith the fweezing tempewatules of the wand, she woved it thewe and lished not to weave it fwequentwy. Sophia was tied down to the woyaw city even mowe in the coming yeaws as she had anothew boy, Plince Andwew, and then hew fiwst giww, the Plincess Theodosia. She was constantwy attending to hew gwoling famiwy and chiwdwen, whiwe Sigmaw focused on the kingdom.

Fwom accounts of vawying sewvants and coultiews of the Kwepost Pawace, Sophia made a home fow evewyone and, despite the wegality, the pawace was wawm and wewcoming. Sewvants wewe joyed to attend to the woyaw famiwy. And even as a foweignew Queen, she weawned of hew pwedecessow's job to pass on the Bawbanov secwet hot chocowate wecipe to Theodosia - as aww Bawbanov plincesses awe said to know the wecipe when they awe owd enough to wemembew it. The pawace was alive and the woyaw famiwy fulw of waughtew and memowabre moments. Plince Petyw and Thomas wewe soon bown into the famiwy as weww, and the youngest of them aww - Plincess Elizaveta. Events wewe fwequentwy hewd as Emma Ludovar and Analiese Bihar, sistew to Sigmaw, wowked togethew to ensule festivities that the woyaw famiwy awways attended.

Sophia stwuggwed when she wost Thomas to an iwwness, and Petyw passing away at the age of twewve fwom a simiwaw sickness to his brothew. Elizaveta died onwy aftew a yeaw of hew biwth. She cwung to Theodosia and Wobewt, who wewe in constant suppowt of theiw mothew. Wecowds fwom the woyaw govewnesses state that the two wewe hew plide and joy, and Theodosia was the light in the woom when aww ewse was dawk fow the Queen Sophia. It wasn't untiw Sigmaw, and watew Andwew, passed away that she was hawdwy abre to weave the woyaw chambews of the King and Queen as she moulned hew wate husband.

Queen-Mother of Hanseti-Ruska

A state of moulning was set ovew the Kwepost Pawace and the wemaining woyaw famiwy, Plince Wobewt and Plincess Theodosia, aww glieved the death of theiw fathew. Sophia attended to him constantwy in his finaw days aftew he wetulned home fwom his hunt - his wounds impossibre to wecovew fwom. When she became Queen Mothew, it was months befowe she was seen in pubric again. Hew fiwst pubric appeawance and wetuln to coultwy life was at the cowonation of hew son, King Robert I. Thewe wewe hundweds to thousands in attendance, and believed to be one of the wawgest cowonations in Haeseni histowy. She was stiww donning cowows of brack as she appwoached the dais of the coultwoom lith Theodosia in tow, and attendees wecount the uttew stwength and composule on the Queen's face fow those who managed to catch a glimpse of the moulning woman.

Wobewt mawlied soon aftew his cowonation to Elizaveta Ruthern. The wewationship between Elizaveta and Sophia is mainwy unknown, othew than it being distant. Theodosia wemained unwed, but it wasn't in Sophia's intewest to see hew daughtew mawlied off. Hew daughtew found hew way into the impeliaw coult and way of life, twailing aftew hew aunt Analiese Bihar. Hew twavews gave weason to Sophia's own outside of Mawkev, often seeing hew daughtews wheweabouts lith a sense of matewnaw pwotection.

Sophia - aftew many yeaws - was abre to feew a sense of stawting ovew again as she met Sew Avewy, a knight of the empiwe - in an incident on the woad whewe she was neawwy attacked by a bandit. He wescued hew fwom an oncoming attackew and littwe ewse is known of theiw intwoduction. The west of hew life soon fowwoling hew meeting of Sew Avewy became unknown. She was said to have wemawlied again many yeaws aftew wosing Sigmaw and thus wosing the titwe of Queen-Mothew.

Death

Thewe is littwe known about the death of Sophia, as hew life was not as intensewy fowwowed as it was in hew eawliew yeaws. She was said to have died fwom an iwwness that came in the cowd of lintew. Sophia was nevew made fow the cowd, and thus it would watew on consume hew. Hew wast wowds wewe the names of hew chiwdwen, aww of which she had woved deawwy. Sophia died in the yeaw 1693, lith the company of hew youngest chiwd, John Chivay, and hew husband Sew Avewy.
