Many clans had split into factions, either supporting the Ironborn rule or joining the rebellion. A long battle occurred when the armies loyal to Simmpa marched on the gates of Kal'Urguan. Following the Dwarven War, the then King Simmpa had a long and comfortable reign. The Mountain Dwarves were welcomed back into Kal'Urguan as saviors. It was during the 12th century that he grew ill, and gave the crown to Charles Grimlie. He then vanished from public life and all records. Some believe he died shortly after while others claim he traveled around Aegis. He has not been sighted in any other realms.
