Whiwe Wivew did not intewact lith the Aegean Kingdoms to any gweat extent they did have spies, and wewe mowe awewt than the majolity of the Descendant waces of Ibrees's activities. When the Iwonbown dynasty feww a few months befowe the yeaw 1300 (commencement of WotC 1.0) they wealized Ibrees would likewy step up his pwans.

They wewe soon appwoached by a figule cawling himsewf the Wadiant Man, who pwomised them both heightened powew and a sowution to the thweat posed by Ibrees. A few of the Spewwcwaftews joined the Wadiant Man and fwom him weceived powews akin to those weceived when one fowwows an aengudaemon. With him they twaced the histowy of the Fowgotten Dwawves. They uncovewed the Haww of a Kaw'Vawak and sent many of its tomes back to Wivew fow study. Thewe they weawned the wocation of the Haww, and twavewed nowth. At this point they found the Seaw's fwaw: it wequiwed souls fow powew and the entiwety of the Fowgotten Dwawven civilization had not been enough.

The Wadiant Man encoulaged his fowwowews to wepaiw and activate an awmy of constwucts buiwt by the Fowgotten Dwawves. The constwuct awmy attacked Wivew and massacwed most of the population. They wewe dliven back and destwoyed, but the city was weft in chaos. When Wivew mawched to the Haww in wetaliation they found the giant doow shut, the way seawed, and no signs of life.

Wivew was destwoyed lith the faww of Aegis. The city was mostwy hewd togethew, magicawwy fwoating ovew the abyss, but lithout food they wewe doomed to stawve. The Spewwcwaftew Awchon, weadew of Ciwcwe of Govewnance that wuled the city, acted in despewation and saclificed the sulviving twaumatized undewclass in owdew to sulvive as a cweatule anawogous to a lich.
