Posledovateli Bogov

Posledovateli Bogov (Followers of The Gods) is a Northern-Ruskan pagan religion practiced by a small group of people (Often people who did not have a Canonist upbringing or are apostates). This religion has multiple Bogov (Gods); Peron - God of Thunder, Svarug - God of Fire, Dzbug - God of Fortune, and Velezh - The Shapeshifter. This religion is extremely secretive due to the persecution of 'heathens' by the Church of Canon and its followers. This religion has practices regarding sacrifices, ritual dances, and combat. The Papej Bogov (The Father God) Svarug, is the one who has created the world according to the beliefs of Posledovateli Bogov and is the most respected Bogov in the entire religion, often blood-sacrifices would be made to him to ask for blessings.

Practices
The followers of the religion have a motivation to spread their religion into other northern places, this would either go through violence or by simple 'preaching'. The religion had considered creating an army to do this but then they realized that the Church had become a major religion. The followers would often capture Canonist followers and use them for blood-sacrifices to one of the Five Bogov. They also practice a variety of ritual dances to get in a sort of trance before engaging with others, this would often be done in the name of Svarug and Peron, as the thunder and fire that is shown in the world are the works of both Gods.
Afterlife
Vyriy (Otherwise known as the Afterlife) is the place where the souls of the dead go to, it is determined by how they have died to which place in the Vyriy they go to. If someone dies due to causes within combat or warfare, for their bravery they get sent to the Blagodat (The Paradise), a place where the most fierce and strongest warriors come together to celebrate and welcome the new souls of the people who have died in battle. These people basically sit next to the Bogov and Boginya to amuse themselves and have the best life within the realm of the Vyriy.
Leadership
Zashchitnik (Word for Defender, could be compared to the rank of 'Fidei Defensor') is decided by those who practice the faith and its beliefs, they come together and compare each exploit to the other, to see which one has the most honor. This election would be hosted by a man who is the leading priest, otherwise known as a Zhrets who lets the candidate drink from a cup filled with the blood of various animals, blessed by the Bogov Peron and Lada. Once the candidate drinks from this cup, he is officially acknowledged as the new head of Posledovateli Bogov. Settlements who adopt the religion are immediately connected to the new Zashchitnik. The current Zashchitnik is Svyatoslav 'The Animal'.
