Ostwick is a castle located on the border of the Kingdom of Lotharingia, once owned by a cadet branch of House Horen. The heir to Ostwick, Arthur Horen-Vimmark, offered the castle to House Staunton to use in Tobias' Rebellion, which became the rebellion's base. After the rebellion's conclusion, the keep was given over to Jacque de Felsen, whom turned the keep into a base for his mercenary company.
After Jacque's return to Courland, the large fortress was left in severe disrepair and disarray. King Lothar I took the castle back under his possession, later granting it as a barony to Princess Anna Sophia of Pruvia.
