His knighthood pledged itself to a rebellious Horen queen that sought to seize the throne of Oren. He became a Wraith during one short period of his life, in which he dedicated himself to scourge eradication. As one of the first Wraiths to ever be created, he held the title of Archwraith, before bestowing it upon Vinzakra in his absence.

He later led 'The Flays' to become a figure of terror for all in Asulon. Even now, the mention of 'Flays' is one to be feared.

These scandalous relations would eventually lead to a divide within the clerical schools of magic, where those of Baldwin's order were effectively hunted and assaulted by Oren's soldiers. One member of her coven was also know as the 'Mistress' of the Frozen Thorns, an underground organization responsible for several murders predominately in Oren's territory. Though long deceased, her cold touch can still be felt amongst the Descendant races as her daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters continue in her legacy.
