MECHANICAL ALCHEMY IS NOT ROLEPLAY ALCHEMY

Finding Recipes Alchemy, mechanics-wise is heavily lore based. Although there are a few differences, the lore is the easiest way to discover the recipes and regent locations.

General Infromation Alchemy exists as a way to brew potions. Every potion has it's own drawbacks to it. Such as the Stoneskin potion which gives resistance 3, also gives slowness 3. There are also a few throwing potions, including Alchemist's Fire which places down a temporary lava block based on a thrown potion's landing point.

How To Brew Doing this is quite simple. There is a success rate based on your alchemy level. The more potions you have in a brewing stand at once, the higher the chance of failure. In order to level alchemy the easiest way to start is by brewing pale ale. This is created by adding wheat to a water bottle in the brewing stand.

Opening a brewing stand shows this:

You follow the normal MC alchemy basics, putting water bottles in the 3 slots below and the regent where the enderpearl is. When you put the regent in the slot for it it will change into a glowstone dust. During that period you must wait for the potion to be finished before adding another regent. Building up a potion is done by adding a regent to an already complete potion. Aqua vitae is made by nether wart on water, if you add Mandagora to aqua vitae you will get a Greater Salve of Mandagora.
