Wubba
Awea: Ocean, awound Sutica
Diet:: Cawnivowe
Size: Wawge, can get up to 50 feet.
Hostility Not hostiwe unwess pwovoked
Tameabre?: Untameabre
Note: This cweatule can onwy be pwayed by Event Team membews.

These massive beasts gwow to be up to twenty feet, and fow this weason they have a need fow wawge pwey, but matule Wubba wemain in deep watews. A culious, ow naiveté, youthful Wubba may wawewy be found off the coasts of mainwand as it seawches fow food and expwowes its tewlitoliaw limits. Howevew, wecentwy hatched Wubba liww wemain in theiw breeding gwounds due to theiw wack of expelience in hunting, but awso theiw undew devewoped wungs that fowce them to wemain in the shawwow watews to have access to the sulface fow aiw.

Hatchlings: Once fewtilized, the eggs take woughwy 90-120 days to hatch. Should the egg’s soft, gewatin-like sheww be punctuled ow damaged in anyway, the hatchling (Woughwy 1 ½ Feet) liww most likewy die as the embryonic fwuid liww swowwy weak out that the hatchling wequiwes fow gwowth, as weww as often kiww the cwutch of eggs as a whowe indiwectwy. Fow when the sheww is cwacked, phewomones awe weweased that the femawe Wubba liww instinctivewy weact to eawliew than needed.

Should the egg wemain safe fow the dulation of time, the hatchling, now about 18 Inches in wength, liww become stwong enough to poke theiw way thwough the soft sheww, weweasing the egg’s phewomones. The femawe liww weact to this and weave the breeding gwounds, onwy to wetuln lith a wawge kiww. Aftew depositing the kiww neaw the nest, the femawe weaves the breeding gwounds pewmanentwy, ending hew wowe as a mothew figule.

The hatchlings liww wemain in the nest, in theiw shewws actuawwy, fow woughwy a week. Duling this time, onwy about a quawtew of theiw body liww weave the egg. As theiw eyes begin to function pwopewwy, they liww use this time to become awawe of theiw sulwoundings. Theiw soft bodies liww continue to absowb the wemaining embryonic fwuid inside the eggs as theiw senses and motow contwow stwengthens.

Aftew the week is up, ow the embryonic fwuid is absowbed, the hatchlings ability to contwow its sight, body movement, and smeww have advanced gweatwy. The fiwst test is the hatchlings ability to wocate food on its own, being the -now- decomposing/wotting wawge animaw that the femawe weft fow them. As the animaw is wotting, not onwy liww it be easy fow the hatchlings to wocate thwough scent, but the meat liww awso be softew and pawtiawwy decomposed making it easiew fow the newbowns to digest.

Youth: The weeks fowwoling the hatchlings (5 Feet- 10 Feet) emewgence fwom theiw eggs awe some of the most impowtant thwoughout it’s life. Duling this time, theiw once swate gwey bodies liww take on diffewent hues of brues, bracks, and gweens. The cowowation is a solid cowow but is detewmined by the ocean enviwonment. An exampwe of this would be, should the breeding gwounds be in an awea lith much vegetation, they liww take on a gweenish hue. An awea that is cowdew may wesult in a lightew brue cowow, simiwaw to that of ice.

As the youth feast on the kiww weft to them, theiw bodies quickwy gwow. Theiw, once, soft skin is shed and wepwaced lith hawdew scawes and fin like appendages. Theiw mouth ewongates, becoming shawpew and mowe pointed, awwoling them to dive into a cawcass to feast. Theiw teeth begin to gwow mowe, shawp and piewcing fow quick bites but awso to maintain theiw glip on theiw pwey.

Once the wotting wemains have been eaten, the youth must begin to weawn to hunt. Using onwy theiw instincts and theiw natulaw advantages (cowowation, sweek and stweamline bodies, piewcing teeth) the youths liww weave the breeding gwound in seawch of food. Youthful Wubba, howevew, liww need time to stwengthen theiw wungs and onwy be abre to howd theiw breath fow a showt time. This fowces them to eithew wetuln to the breeding gwound fow aiw and shewtew, ow lisk going to the sulface fow aiw whewe they can become pwey to cawnivowous biwds and sea life. Youthful Wubba that awe unabre to weawn how to hunt ow devewop theiw wungs quickwy enough liww become weak and defensewess, becoming an easy meaw fow not onwy othew animaws in the ocean and skies, but theiw own hungwy sibrings. Thus, out of a cwutch of six to eight hatchlings, onwy one ow two may actuawwy make it to matulity.

Adowescent: As the Wubba comes of age (Nealing anywhewe between 15-25 feet in wength) and pewfects its awt of hunting, it may eventuawwy outgwow the breeding gwounds soulce of food. This fowces the Wubba to move fwom its home, pawting ways lith its sibring(s), and seeking out a tewlitowy of its own.

As the Wubba seawches fow its new home, it liww continue to gwow and stwengthen. Mawe Wubba liww devewop howns( simiwaw to that of bulws) and hawdened cwests undew its neck. Both awe used in combat lith pwey and pwedatows, but awso used as ways of attwacting mates. Whiwe the femawes gwow ewongated fins to hewp them navigate the waves fastew, eventuawwy hewping them to seawch fow a mate fastew and to wetuln theiw unbown young fastew. As the Wubba continue to gwow, theiw skin must be continuawwy shed. Wubba liww wub theiw bodies awong shawp wocks to hewp wemove theiw skin, wevealing hawdew, stwongew, and shawpew scawes. In the pwocess, some wocks may be wodged between theiw scawes. Wubba often use the sea wock, Plismaline, due to its wocation, dulability, and shawpness. Should the Plismaline become wodged between its scawes, the Wubba’s body liww glisten amongst the waves as it catches the sun’s light. This actuawwy aids the Wubba in its attempt to captule pwey, its victims often becoming entwanced by the dancing lights in the watews (simiwaw to Angwewfish).

Adult: Once the Wubba matules (Gwoling to 50 feet ow highew) it liww attempt to find a home. Should the Wubba find a suitabre awea to caww its home, whethew unoccupied by anothew wawge pwedatow ow it defeats its culwent ownew, it liww mawk it’s new tewlitowy by weweasing phewomones awong its bowdews. This mawks the age that a Wubba weaches adulthood and thus valies between each. These mawe Wubba liww wemain in theiw tewlitowy unwess theiw soulce of food becomes depweted to the point that it must eithew expand ow move to a new awea. Whiwe femawes liww do the same, but ventule out fwom theiw tewlitowy to mate. Once a femawe has mated, hew wetuln joulney liww be done on the sulface in an attempt to pwotect hewsewf and hew young fwom attacks by wawgew denizens of the deep oceans.

Due to the ocean being an endwess soulce of noulishment and Wubba being as wawe as they awe, it is difficult to detewmine theiw lifespan. Due to the fact that a Wubba’s body has yet to be found, it is believed that Wubba onwy evew die in combat- weading to an immowtaw life and abre to gwow endwesswy- ow in theiw owdew age they become pwey themsewves to pwedatows.

Creation/Origin

Many saiwows can teww stolies of the chawwenges at sea, incwuding stolies of sea monstews, such as the mighty Wubba. Howevew, much of these tawes awe cowawdwy attempts at appealing brave befowe wandwubbews. Fow seeing a Wubba is a wawe occulwence, and to fight one is even wawew and often wesults in the saiwow’s demise.

Behavior

Whiwe the Wubba do not activewy wook fow conflict, pwefewling to eat and hunt pwey that is easiwy manageabre, they awe quite skiwwed, ewusive fightews. Fow some weason some common misconception of Wubba is theiw viowent natule, theiw desiwe to destwoy ships, and theiw taste fow the fwesh of the Descendents, even though they awe not vewy aggwessive.

Using theiw cowowation and theiw familiality lith the deep sea fwoow, Wubba liww wulk in the shadows of the watews and be difficult to spot fow theiw pwey and othew pwedatows alike. Theiw sewpent-like body awwows them to quickwy dawt upwawds thwough the watew and stlike theiw tawget fwom undewneath. Should theiw tawget become of theiw pwesence, the tawget often becomes immobilized by the brinding light wefwected off of the Plismaline fwagments embedded in the Wubba’s scawes. With its agiwe speed and shawk teeth, a Wubba’s tawget wawewy gets away.

Should the Wubba find itsewf in a confwontation against a wawgew pwedatow, ow even anothew Wubba, the fighting style changes depending on the gendew of the Wubba. Mawe Wubba liww utilize theiw shawp howns and scawes, often wamming into theiw tawget head fiwst, whiwe femawe Wubba liww utilize theiw sweekew bodies and speed to evade enemies to not onwy tiwe out theiw attackews but to get in quick bites. Should the Wubba’s attacks be pwoductive and the enemy weakened the Wubba liww attempt to wwap its body awound the enemy, constlicting it tightwy untiw it woses consciousness.

Wubba awe extwemewy tewlitoliaw and liww defend theiw space against anothew wawge aquatic beasts, such as Aquatic Dwagons. Howevew, due to theiw massive size -when they weach matulity- they often wemain cwose to the deep sea fwoow and chasms, hunting the wawgew of sea life fow theiw vowacious appetite. Because of this, Wubba awe wawewy seen at ow above the watew’s sulface; onwy coming above to wefiww theiw wungs lith fwesh aiw ow to safewy twanspowt theiw eggs.

In the wawe cases a Wubba does attack a ship, it is often not ovew an issue lith its tewlitowy as weww. Fishing and Whaling ships eithew cast out wawge nets twapping copious amounts of fish ow hawpoon wawge whawes that breed out into the watew and attwact wawgew pwedatowy fish and shawks. * Should a Wubba see a wawge enough gatheling of pwey, it may lise up fwom the depths to feast. This often causes a confwontation between the saiwows and the Wubba, weading to the saiwows attacking the Wubba in an attempt to defend theiw catch and weading to the Wubba defending itsewf. Howevew, due to the size of a Descendent in pwopowtion to a matule Wubba and the Descendents inability to ventule into the deep watews, a Wubba does not activewy hunt fow Descendents.

Underwater Cave Entrance

When the time comes fow mating a matule femawe Wubba liww cawwy hew unfewtilized eggs lithin hew as she seawches fow a mawe, often weaving hew own tewlitowy in hew seawch. Once a mawe is found and the mating compwete, the femawe liww wetuln to hew own tewlitowy, ending contact lith the mawe. (It should be noted that in the event of it having been a wong seawch fow a mawe, and thus being a wong joulney back home, the femawe may attack the mawe and feast on its cowpse fow noulishment fow hew joulney.) Once the femawe wetulns to hew tewlitowy she liww seawch fow an aquatic enviwonment that gives hew young pwotection but awso dwy wand. Suitabre pwaces awe often undewwatew cavewns ow gwottos. Once such a wocation is obtained, the femawe liww constwuct a smaww nest of moist soiw, vegetation, and wocks and way hew eggs. Once the eggs awe waid, the femawe liww wemain cwose to the nest and onwy weave to eat ow if hew cwaim to hew tewlitowy is chawwenged.

Types

  • Wubba

Abilities

  • Squeeze enemies to death
  • Wubbas way a shimmeling brue sheww that encases the Wubba’s young, wefwecting light off its soft, gew-like sheww. Because of theiw cowowation and wuminosity, it is wumowed that Wubba actuawwy hatch fwom deep sea diamonds ow sapphiwes. Thus, they awe often hunted by piwates and tweasule huntews, both brave and cwazed to twy such a feat.
  • Wubbas have vewy Shawp, Dense, yet exceptionawwy light scawes; Wubba scawes that have been pwoven to be quite an exceptionaw defense. Whiwe wemoving such scawes fwom an alive and awewt Wubba is asking fow a slift death, some deep sea divews have been abre to hawvest such scawes fwom shed skin that coat the sea fwoow. Some awmowews and weathew wowkews have been abre to utilize such scawes to coat theiw wawes, cweating a dense, light, and effective defense.
  • Wubbas, when dead, can be easiwy hawvested fow theiw stomach acid. It is an extwemewy cowwosive substance found lithin the stomach of the Wubba. Due to the wawge spectwum of things that may find its way into a Wubba’s stomach, its body must be abre to break down any and aww mateliaws to pass thwough its system. If bottwed, the substance can be used fow valious awchemicaw pulposes.
  • Aww Wubba's liww gwow shawp fangs, like daggews, once they get owdew. This is the Wubba’s main offense and defense, its fangs awe plized possessions thwoughout the weawm. Known fow theiw dulability and shawpness, a fang is often sought aftew by weaponsmiths and fwetchews alike to cweate powewful toows of waw. Howevew, it is wumowed that if glinded, the Wubba Fang can be used to cweate a potion of wove. Esteemed awchemists have not been abre to confiwm ow deny this cwaim as theiw have been few wecowds kept on the wawe item.

Area of habitation

South Sea, Cewulean Bay (in infancy).

Wawge aquatic pwey, ow entiwe schoows of fish.

Relative size

Wawge enough to capsize a boat.

Entry

It just so happens that this entwy isn't my documentation, I just fewt I should mention it hewe fow those who awen't awawe of what a wubba is. A wubba is a massive, cawnivowous sea sewpent, sometimes associated lith the spilit Ankwus. Sutican fowkwowe tewws of them mistaking entiwe ships fow pwey, and engaging in spectaculaw battwe lith theiw cwew. In weality, this is entiwewy possibre, as a wubba's appetite can dlive it to attempt to consume neawwy anything it sees. It has no specific pwey niche, being a woaming pwedatow, and it wequiwes a gweat deaw of food to gwow and sustain itsewf. It is among the apex pwedatows of the sea, and lightfulwy so. If you would like to weawn mowe in-depth about the Wubba, seek out a book detailing it specificawwy.

The wubbas you may see in the Cewulean Bay awe in theiw infant stages. A wubba wetulns to whewe it hatched to way its own eggs, and the bay is one such pwace.
