Biography
Early Life
Born in 1859 as Leopold Ulrich von Reuss to Rocco and Hilde von Reuss, he was the first and oldest child and heir to mantle of patriarch of his house. Within his youth, Leopold would grow to be fascinated with hunting with his father. It would be this relationship with his father that would set him on the path to succeed him in ownership of his merry band of brigands. These men would be hired out to the highest bidder of local lords to fight in their name. Leopold would find himself in the midst of these skirmishes and minor conflicts as a young teen serving under his father.
Until the death of his father amidst one of these jobs serving under the ruler of Ulmsbottom, Leopold would be ushered in as the new leader of the company. One of his rewards for his service to Ulmsbottom and in homage to his father, Leopold would be knighted at the age of seventeen, c. 1876. Leopold now knighted and the new leader of the company would go on to reward his men in gold and further earn their respect through a series of missions to protect and escort clergymen across Aeldin.
Upon his return to his manor later that year in 1876, he entered to see his aging mother with a fellow lord along with a young woman named Ravenna Valentina Cantal, little did Leopold know, this young woman was to be his bride. Through a couple of awkward months of courtship, the two would be married the following year in 1877 and bear their first child, August Lucien. They would go on to have three more children before Leopold would find his calling while encountering men who claimed to be from across the far and perilous seas.
Amongst these talks and trading of information, Leopold would have his mind made up about taking this journey to the continent these men hailed from in hopes for a better future for him and his kin.
