Registration Terms

By registering on our website and by making use of any of our other services (including logging into our Minecraft or TeamSpeak servers) you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions which act as a legally binding contract between you (the user) and us (the Lord of the Craft).

Definitions

“LOTC service(s)” is used as shorthand for our online games, 'Minecraft' game servers and all websites and other products hosted, ran and/or operated by us. References to “Stopping” an account include all or any of: locking, temporarily or permanently banning. If your account is banned, you will not be able to access your account at all. N.B. If you have payed for any perks or account upgrades that are time related it will continue to expire while you are banned.

Applicability

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Your accepting them in full is a condition of your use of a LOTC service (whether or not you subscribe). If you don’t agree with any part, please don’t accept them or use the LOTC service. If you have any questions about these terms and conditions, please contact us on our forums Here and do not use the site until you are satisfied with and can accept these terms and conditions in full.

Changes

We may change these terms and conditions to reflect: changes in applicable laws; regulatory or security requirements; relevant guidance or codes of practice; technical alterations to LOTC Services; and to improve clarity and consistency. Please check the terms and conditions whenever you use a LOTC Service. If you are not a subscriber, we will treat your continued use of a LOTC Service as acceptance of these changes from their effective date as shown above. If you are a subscriber, we will treat you as bound by the changes on the first renewal date for your subscription after the effective date and so you should cancel your subscription (as explained below) before this renewal date if you don’t like the proposed changes.

Use License

Permission is granted to download or copy any of the materials on The Lord Of The Craft’s web site for personal viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not: This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by The Lord Of The Craft at any time. Upon termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

Account

You must not choose a username that infringes the rights of any third party, impersonates LOTC staff or other users, which is deliberately confusing or which is offensive, racist, obscene, hurtful, unlawful or otherwise inappropriate or which breaches the username requirements specified on our site or our Rules of Conduct. We reserve the right to make such assessment in our sole discretion, change any username for any reason or take such other action as we believe appropriate. You agree to keep your password safe at all times and not to disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for the activities of all persons who use your password to gain access to your account. To help ensure the safety of your password, you must keep your computer free of viruses and other malicious code including Trojans. You must use your password in accordance with the password requirements specified on our site and our Rules of Conduct. Real LOTC staff will never ask you for your password. If you believe that someone has stolen your password or otherwise gained access to your account please change and secure your account as quickly as possible.

Content Ownership

By uploading any content to The Lord of the Craft, you are handing the copyright ownership rights to us, and permitting us to use that content in other products and/or on the same product as we wish. This includes, but is not limited to: characters, character names, biographies, lore, locations, works, images created by yourself and anything created in the video game 'Minecraft' on our servers. Any content not created by yourself, but uploaded by yourself should be fully credited to the original owner. We do not take responsibility for the content that you upload, therefore, any copyright infringement in your content will be held liable to yourself and removed if found.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate, disclose and make use of personal information. The following outlines our privacy policy: Any personal information we collect is done by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with the knowledge or consent of the individual concerned. Forum profile information (including email addresses) is stored on our servers for as long as you have a forum account. PayPal and payment records are stored for the purpose of good record-keeping and planning (no credit card info is provided to us through Paypal). We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. We will make readily available to customers information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information. We are committed to conducting our business in accordance with these principles in order to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected and maintained.

Rules

You must comply with the current version of any rules, guidelines, codes of conduct or instructions specified in any LOTC Service including our game rules, the current version of any services offered linked at the bottom of the TOC and incorporated herein by reference. Any use of any LOTC Service not in accordance with the game rules exceeds the scope of the license granted by these Terms & Conditions.

Rights

If, acting reasonably, we consider that our Terms and Conditions have or may have been breached, or that there has been fraudulent, unlawful or abusive activity, or that it is necessary in order to prevent or stop any harm or damage to us, to any LOTC service, to other players or the general public, we may Stop (as defined above) any or all accounts of LOTC services which we think are connected with the offender subject to such right of appeal as is specified on our website and/or restrict access to or delete virtual currency or anything acquired by means of virtual currency. Such actions may result in loss of membership credit and/or loss of real money paid as part of any item / account trading or other prohibited transaction. To prevent or remedy breach of our Terms and Conditions or any harm or damage to us, to any LOTC Product or to other players or the general public , we may automatically or manually monitor, censor (including rejection or removal of any content) and/or record public or private chat or other activities in any LOTC Service. User-Generated Content Any User-Generated Content made in-game or posted on the forums are the intellectual property of The Lord Of The Craft for reasonable uses. Under no circumstances will we transfer, copy, or otherwise provide you with a digital copy of any structures built in-game. If you wish to appeal to this rule, please contact an Administrator.

Donations

All items purchased through The Lord Of The Craft website will be made available to you in-game for the duration of your membership or untill the donation expires. All donations, payments, and purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. Purchases of in-game items, such as premium vaults and city houses, represent a limited-ownership agreement, in which The Lord Of The Craft still reserves the right to seize or re-possess any of those items under extreme circumstances (such as termination of membership). Additionally, in the event that a player has been inactive for an excessive amount of time, we reserve the right to repossess any property he or she owns. Upon returning to the server, players in good standing will receive their non-expired purchased items back.

Functioning availability of service

We will do our best to maintain operation of LOTC services and rectify faults as quickly as possible. We may have to suspend operation of a LOTC services without notice for repair, maintenance, improvement or other technical reason. If so, we will do our best to ensure that the suspension is as short as possible. We cannot accept responsibility for such suspensions or for any interruption or error caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. We cannot guarantee that LOTC services will work with any particular computer equipment or in conjunction with any particular software or connectivity services. We do not accept responsibility for such equipment, software or services.

The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by The Lord Of The Craft of the site. Use of any such linked web site is at the user’s own risk.
