Koyo-Kuni Shugonate

The Koyo-Kuni Shugonate is the home of the ‘Easterner’ diaspora on the continent of Aevos. While far from their native home-lands of Ai-Zho, the Oyashiman, Oni, Li-ren and Hou-Zi each call Koyo-Kuni their home away from home and work to provide themselves a space within the boiling pot of cultures and people in Aevos. It is a land of adventure and wonder, a land of heroes who pride themselves on their honor and fighting spirit. The capital of Koyo-Kuni is Sakuragakure, known in common as “The Village Hidden Amongst the Cherry Blossoms” and home of the Oyashimans on Aevos.
The government is operated under a stratocracy with a heavy emphasis on the militarization of the state and the defense of the “Sakura Mori” or the Cherry Blossom Forests the state calls home. Currently they have been in a long standing war against the Demon Lich Daimyo Gashadokuro who resides in a fortress in the “Norowareta Mori” or the Cursed Forests on the western border of Koyo-Kuni. While welcoming of trade and positive interactions with foreigners, the capital Sakuragakure is strictly resided by the Oyashiman people as a cultural reservation to protect their traditions and way of life with many foreigners opting to reside in the Nichi-Jin temple within the Oyashiman heartlands to study the proliferating philosophy of the Kaninokyō.
