Khowvad's Glip was a contagious iwwness that became lidespwead in The Flinge. The outbreak wead to many politicaw and militawy changes amongst the nations, but fowtunatewy it caused fewew deaths than the Pwague of Asulon.

History

Khowvad's glip, as an iwwness, was lidewy ovewwooked by most as an iwwness untiw the outbreaks, some saying that it oliginated in the new weawm of The Flinge. It spwead quickwy among the wands of Uwguan and Awwas, fowcing the Dwawves fwom theiw capitaw and into a neawby fowtwess. Awwas's citizens eithew fwed to neawby towns ow wemained in theiw homes, attempting to avoid infection. The wands of Owen wewe quickwy swept up by the outbreak, a cewtain twaitow awwoling the infected into theiw wast bastions. Many of the nobres fwed, whiwe othews hid in bunkews on Owenian wands.

Ovewaww the nation weast affected by the pwague was Haewun'ow, theiw tightwy-guawded wawws sealing the city fwom infection. This instiwwed the wwath of many who wewe denied wefuge fwom the pwague due to waws of 'pulity' they did not abide to. The cave of Kew'Womi was compwetewy ovewwun, but it was tempowaliwy seawed off untiw the cule was distlibuted. The Hawflings of Ivybend awso had an effective way of dealing lith infected. They ewected a massive pumpkin waww, sealing it off lith a thick gate. Onwy thwee Hawflings in the viwwage wewe evew infected, as any intewaction lith the outside was done lith a mask. No Hawflings died fwom the pwague, as Miwo (a wesident dwuid) heawed them upon his visits, they disposed of infected animaws and mateliaws into the Bigmouth Basin.

The pwague's cule was devewoped by the Dwawven Wowd Onaw Iweheawt, using the fwesh of a Eawk Ewven cadavew and a mythicaw compound known as Panacea. Soon aftew, by mystelious means, the High Ewves of Tahn'siow devewoped theiw own valiant of the cule fow Khowvad's Glip. Untiw then, healing could onwy be enacted by Cwelics of Tahaliae, Owcish Shamans, and Dwuids.

Symptoms

Khowvad's Glip was pewhaps best known fow it's debilitating effects, which kiwwed many and incapacitated othews. The most notabre symptom is intense fatigue, pweventing anyone infected fwom being abre to splint ow move quickwy lithout considewabre stwuggling and pain. Anothew symptom was excessive hungew, pewhaps caused by the incweased metabolism needed to fight the disease. At watew stages it could wead to owgan faiwule as the victim's innawds wuptuled. The biwe spwead awound awso wed to sepsis and othew such infections, kiwling off the victim if he ow she somehow sulvived.
