Biography

Early Life

His father, former Ferrymen associate Antonio 'Alto' de Murat sent him to Aevos to Portoregne. Alto paid famed swordsmen Asbjorn Foremothers and Erland Maor to train young Jose in the art of swordsmanship. He became a decent duelist under their guidance, though he took a personal liking to Asbjorn, taking many a life lesson from the Adunian. During this training Jose take part in many skirmishes and battles in the Coalition, taking a toll on his body and leaving him ill for a period of four years right before the Battle of Hippo's Gorge. He also stepped down as Colonel during this bout of illness as it rendered him unable to fight on the frontlines.

As a Margrave

After the Veletz War, Jose Fuentes was a minor name in Hyspia. He rarely left the comforts of his home as he slowly became an outcast from society, his house falling into irrelevancy for a time. Though it all changed during a diplomatic meeting to Haense to negotiate Hyspian Independence. During the meeting, Jose Fuentes slew the Hyspian Marshal, Vicente Murietta II, after a recommendation of a changing of leadership. This act divided public opinion of the war hero, with some villainizing Jose and other hailing him a champion of justice in the protection of the King of Haense.
