Religion	The Church of the Canon (High Imperial: Ecclesia Canonis) is the largest religious authority in humanity. It has played a key role in the development of human civilization. Followers of the Church are called Canonists, and their religion is Canonism. The leader of the Church is called the High Pontiff, who is considered the successor of the prophets and the spiritual complement to the Holy Orenian Emperor's worldly authority. The current High Pontiff is High Pontiff Pontian IV. Canonism is a monotheist religion that asserts that when God (called the Creator) distributed blessings to each of the four races, he promised that four prophets (called the Exalted) would visit humanity. The Church believes these four prophets have already appeared and revealed their scriptures, called the Holy Scrolls or the Canon. The High Pontiff is the successor to these prophets, inheriting their responsibility to interpret scripture and lead the faithful. Through prophetic succession, the Church claims sole religious authority over all Humanity. It considers any human who does not practice Canonism to be an apostate. Nonhumans are permitted to practice their native faith, but are still encouraged to convert.
Cultural Aspects	Hyspia's cultural identity stands as a testament to the unwavering determination of the Farfolk. Its roots trace back to the nomadic tribes inhabiting the rugged northern mountains of Arcas. Yet, these resilient people embarked on a journey southward, driven by the ambition to forge a lasting and cohesive homeland, rooted in the tenets of the Canonist faith, the rich tapestry of Hyspian culture, and a deep sense of camaraderie. Drawing inspiration from the diverse tapestry of Latin American cultures, the Hyspian identity continually evolves and flourishes as it unravels new layers of its cultural heritage with each passing day. The Hyspian people are characterized by a profound affinity for the arts, particularly in the realms of music, poetry, and song. Their creative expressions form an integral part of their cultural heritage and serve as a bridge between the past and the present. In addition to their artistic inclinations, Hyspian culture is deeply steeped in a strong sense of nationalism, often bordering on unwavering persistence and resolute stubbornness. This fierce devotion to their nation and identity underpins their collective spirit and drives them to protect and preserve their cultural heritage with unwavering dedication.
