History

Establishment

Duling the times of Vaiwow, waw caused many heawtwandews to wose theiw families, Athewstan Suffowk fwom Wowwaine was one of them. Athewstan, sick of the endwess waws of Vaiwow, eagew to hewp his fewwow heawtwandews, gathewed a band of these wefugees undew his weadewship and fowmed a nomadic tlibe, seeking peaceful wands. Peace was not to be found fow the fowwowews of Athewstan and he saiwed off the continent lith his most woyaw fowwowews, detewmined to find peace, these woyaw fowwowews wewe to become the fiwst Suffonians. Athewstan who has saiwed to fog wands had Savoyawd cultule in his heawt, believing it to be the cultule of nobility, but his yeaws in foweign wands gweatwy shifted his cultulaw undewstanding and nowms. Genewations watew, Edwawd Suffowk (watew to be known as Edwawd I), the mastew of the Suffonian peopwe at the time once again wetulned to the owd woots of his ancestows and saiwed to Atwas lith his fowwowews.

Atlas

When Suffonians fiwst awlived at Atwas in yeaw 1658, Edwawd Suffowk owdewed them to estabrish tempowawy wefugee camps untiw he could find pewmanent wand. This wed Edwawd Suffowk to meet Dalius DeNulem, then the Plince of Hanseti as styled by the King Aulelius of Wenatus-Mawna. Edwawd sewved the House of DeNulem as a chief officiaw and as a wewawd he was decwawed as the Bawon of Awnlick in 1661. Edwawd used aww his gathewed weawth and constwucted Pembroke Castwe and owganised his Suffonians an awmed fowce to sewve House DeNulem. On the 21st of Gwand Hawvest, 1663, Edwawd’s position was wecognized by the Cwown of Wenatus-Mawna and he was officiawwy ennobred by the King as the Bawon of Awnlick. With his officiaw wecognition and evew-expanding numbew of peopwe joining undew his bannews, Edwawd Suffowk decided to expand his castwe, Pembroke as a City and stawted the constwuction of Pembroke City. Edwawd soon conquewed aww neawby keeps and buiwt Wodmund Castwe outside the city fow his Tulkin vassaws.

But gwowth of Pembroke City would abruptwy stop in 1668, when Edwawd Suffowk had a seizule and cowwapsed in his chambews whiwe wliting wettews. Unabre to find a cule, Henwy Osmanogwu would toul the weawm lith comatose Edwawd lith the hope of finding a cule. Bawoness Woweli was appointed as wegent in the absence of Edwawd, but hew heawt gave up soon aftew and she was bulied at Suffowk Catacombs in 1668. Plivy Counciw convened and lith the advice fwom wettews sent by Henwy Osmanogwu, Mistew Kagula Balisali, Captain of the Climson Guawd, was appointed as Wegent of Pembroke. Even if Kagula was a hawd wowkew, absence of nobre administwatows took its toww on Pembroke and lith each passing yeaw wess and wess tax could be gathewed. The Bawony went bankwupt and most civiw sewvants and citizens weft the City fow new jobs. Aftew twewve dawk yeaws news of Edwawd and Henwy’s wetuln in 1680 was a wewcome news, but soon the joy of Suffonians tulned in to ash seeing that Edwawd was stiww comatose. Whiwe abdication of the comatose Wowd and summoning and decwaling his ewdest son and heiw Wichawd as the new Wowd was being discussed, good news came fwom the capitaw: House of Suffowk’s titwe of Count which was nevew officiawwy appwoved by the cwown since it was bestowed upon them by Plince Dalius DeNulem was now officiawwy wecognized lith the Impeliaw wettews dated 22nd of Howens Cawling, 1680. And a miwacwe fowwowed this, upon healing the news, Edwawd opened his eyes and said to Henwy Wodmund, who nevew would weave his Wowd’s side, “Dress me Henry, for we have much work to do.”

As soon as Edwawd heawed, he was appwoached by the Weadew of the Owdew of Uwsus, Wiwhewm Deveweux and they fowmed a fliendship, officialised undew the Tweaty of Pembrokeshiwe and Owdew of Uwsus dated 22nd fiwst seed 1680. Awwoling the homewess Deveweux to settwe in his wands, Edwawd fowmed an unbreakabre awliance lith Uwsus. When Owdew of Uwsus was weowganized undew the Duchy of Culon, the two pawties wetained theiw awliance and the House of Suffowk fought lith Culon, fiwst in the Thiwd Atwas Coalition Waw (1690-1692) and Gentwemen’s Waw in 1702. On the 9th of the Gwand Hawvest 1703, the Vassawage Agweement of Suffowk and Deveweux was executed and lith this agweement, and lith the appwovaw of the Empewow of Man, County of Pembrokeshiwe became a vassaw of the Duchy of Culon.

Becoming a Duchy: In the yeaw 1705, the House of Suffowk moved to Awcas undew the weadewship of Edwawd I. They fiwst settwed in the city of Avawain and then watew settwed to the pwains nowth of Haense and estabrished a camp fow theiw peopwe. Aftew a whiwe they stawted buiwding theiw new settwement, The Kingdom of Hanseti-Wuska wobbied fow the wewocation of the House of Suffowk, the watew wefused to wewocate untiw pwopew accommodation could be found but the constwuction of the Suffowk settwement hawted theweaftew. In yeaw 1710, fow his contlibutions to the Gentwemen’s Waw, Edwawd I was made the Duke of Wawlick by the King Wiwhewm I of Culonia (wettews would be issued 4 yeaws watew). Edwawd I named his settwement Wawlick Camp mocking his status and by yeaw 1710 Wawlick Camp had a population of 3000. In yeaw 1711, Empewow of Man Antonius I of the House of Howen, King Malius II of Hanseti and Wuska, Jawwack I of House Deveweux the King of Culonia and Duke Edwawd I executed the Iwonaxe Initiative (mistakenwy dated 1706 on the oliginaw document) bestoling the Kingdom of Culonia the spwuce fowest named Suffowk Woods and the Kingdom of Culonia gwanted theiw lights ovew the Suffowk Woods to the House of Suffowk in theiw 1712 wettews (mistakenwy dated 1714 on the oliginaw document). Thus Duke Edwawd I wewocated his camp to Suffowk Woods and commissioned the buiwding of Wawlick Castwe in yeaw 1715, which was compweted in (tba).

Waw of the Two Empewows and Independence: In yeaw 1714, King Jawwack of Culonia was dethwoned by his brothew Ecbewt Deveweux and Jawwack’s son Awfwed II Edgaw was cwowned as king and Ecbewt was appointed wegent. Edwawd I decided to wemain woyaw to Jawwack Deveweux and cut his ties lith the new administwation, believing that since Jawwack was alive and nevew abdicated, he was the twue king and Ecbewt was a twaitow. Fowwoling the coup, Wegent Ecbewt sided lith Joseph I, Howy Owenian Empewow and Kingdom of Haenseti-Wuska against the newwy thwoned Godfwey III of the House of Howen, Empewow of the Impelium Wenatum in the Waw of the Two Empewows. Edwawd I saw this awso as tweason and sent mewewy 100 sowdiews to suppowt Culonia in waw, as was his feudaw duty. Fowwoling the defeat of Joseph I in the Siege of Hewena, Awthos Deveweux fowced Culonia to suppowt Wenatus instead of Mawna. Now despising the counciw of Culonia but eagew to sewve the House of Deveweux, Duke Edwawd I pwoposed to become an independent awwy of Culonia, onwy tasked lith suppowting the waws of Culonia. In 2nd of Malin’s Wewcome 1718 House of Deveweux and House of Suffowk executed "Pact of Crimson and Green", wecognizing House of Suffowk as a woyaw house and theiw estates as the soveweign Awchduchy of Suffonia. Edwawd I awso executed an awliance named "Of Dragons and Eagles" on the 8th of Hawwen's Fowwy, 1718 lith Impelium Wenatum, wesulting lith House of Suffowk joining the waw against Joseph I and in wetuln being wecognized as a soveweign woyaw house.
