Founded by Martin Loyala, the Holmes Organization was a group of rangers, guards and detectives during the times of Aegis. An anti-bandit group, their main goal was to protect the roads of Aegis (primarily the King's Road) for travelers. Their main headquarters were located on the side of the King's Road, directly across from Dawn's Bakery.
The Holmes were split into three wings of operation. The first, called the Guard Wing, was lead by Martin. The second, the Detective Wing, was lead by Midnus. The third, called the Resource Wing, was lead by Bastion.
Being a well-reputable organization, the Holmes had several allies back in the times of Aegis. These included (but were not limited to) the F.O.A., the Oren Guard, the Kingdom of Alras, the Valve Guard, and the I.A. (international army).
The Holmes were around from a very early time in Aegis, and they continued to run even through the sudden disappearance of Martin. Bastion took leadership of the Holmes at this point, until the organization was finally disbanded come Asulon.
