Founded by Martin Loyala, the Holmes Organization was a group of rangers, guards and detectives during the times of Aegis. An anti-bandit group, their main goal was to protect the roads of Aegis (primarily the King's Road) for travelers. Their main headquarters were located on the side of the King's Road, directly across from Dawn's Bakery.

The Holmes were split into three wings of operation. The first, called the Guard Wing, was lead by Martin. The second, the Detective Wing, was lead by Midnus. The third, called the Resource Wing, was lead by Bastion.
