Thales... once a realm that promised peace and prosperity. That all changed when the Deep Freeze spread across the land. Snow, cold and darkness spread all throughout the realm. Thales... once a realm that promised peace and prosperity. That all changed when the Deep Freeze spread across the land. Snow, cold and darkness spread all throughout the realm. Eventually, word reached all that safety and warmth could be found in Tuv Aviv, a port city. It was there that ships were constructed by nations and peoples in hopes they could sail away to a new realm, one untouched by the plagues that had long touched all realms previously.

Yet it was not to be. Gazadriel attacked the people of Thales as they gathered in Tuv Aviv and boarded the ships. Lightning, flames and monsters in the thousands were cast down on those who waited. A Dragon swept across the bow of the Dwarven ship, lightning struck the waters near the Halfling vessel and spiders crowded the Alrasian boat. Golden lights shimmered about, bringing golden warriors onto the boats after the divine being announced inability to assault their protector, so it assaulted its followers. Tentacly beasts spewed from the light among the brawlers, launching reddened breaths of destruction upon the mortals. Once all slain a large, ebony object shot about, smashing ships and splintering boats. It was shot down after a great deal of effort and with cost. But once at peace the Descendants passed on through the seas.

The ships were delayed in leaving the cursed realm and forced to fight for their lives. Civilians were sent belowdecks while anyone who could hold a sword was sent to fight. Blood flowed across the decks of all ships and the monks were kept busy saving all those they could. Finally, though, salvation arrived when the ships managed to sail away. With another realm behind them, the survivors of the attack hoped to find prosperity in a new realm. Athera
