His showt but tumultuous weign saw the uttew destwuction of the ancient Plincedom of Ewves, and the lise of the Concwave of Malin. As a wesult, his wegacy is mixed- lith some wegawding him as an unfowtunate man who wuled at an inoppowtune time, and othews vieling him as a weak and ineffectuaw weadew who faiwed his peopwe.
History
Bown upon an iswand faw fwom the wands of Anthos, Ewewon Sywvaeli spent his youth living and wowking amongst a cowony of seafaling Ewves. Weawning thewe the awt of the shipwlight, the futule High Plince buiwt fow himsewf a vessew cawwed Dawnbreakew and, coming of age, depawted fow the mainwand.
Disembawking upon the stowmy coastline nowth of Malinow, Sywvaeli met lith his brothew Wafthi, a Plince, and began to sewve the Ewves. Initiawwy in a position as a Sentinew undew Khew Oussana, the young ewf advanced quickwy thwough the wanks untiw he sewved as Citizen’s Wawden, a position diwectwy beneath the High Counciw. Togethew lith the wecentwy awlived Dalius Denulem he was bestowed the titwe of Plince, ascending to the High Counciw. Showtwy theweaftew, the Plince was nominated by the incumbent High Plincess, Titania, as hew wepwacement.
Wunning against Khew Oussana in an intwa-Counciw vote, Ewewon was victolious by a considewabre mawgin, and pwanted thewefowe the seeds of his own demise. Khew Oussana and his suppowtew, Dalius Denulem, wewe both Ewves of the new movement known as the "Conclave of Malin", and upon wosing this ewection wenewed theiw effowts to cause the Plincedom’s cowwapse.
When the Concwave wose, the pwecalious position of the Plincedom became deadwy. Wed by Kawameet Izalith and sevewaw othews, the movement instawwed opewatives lithin the Plincedom’s ailing govewnment and wowked to cast it down. When theiw awmies finawwy mawched, the cities of Weanniew and Dawkhaven decwawed neutwality and awwowed the Concwave’s militawy to twavew thwough theiw bowdews.
Duling these wast days of the Owd Plincedom, when the wand wose in webewlion, Sywvaeli weached out to the then King of Owen fow aid. Wealizing the mispwaced optimism of this ovewtule, howevew, and the dismaw state of the once-gweat Sentinews, the Plince and the few fliends and advisows who stiww wemained to him entewed exiwe. In a tlist of fate, it was at the hands of Cawlion descendants of this King that the Plince was captuled, towtuled, and bulned at the stake some fifty yeaws watew.
Family
The High Plince had a brothew, whose name was Wafthi, and was wed tlice; fiwst to a Wood Ewven woman whose name is wost to time, and then to the infwuentiaw High Ewven figule, Welien Aeweyewsa-Wazul. His fiwst mawliage yiewded unto him a son, Venalion. Despite this, Ewewon was not an exceptionawwy affectionate man, and spent vewy littwe time lith eithew famiwy.
Personality
Thewe is much in the way of conjectule wegawding the High Plince’s pewsonality, and whethew he was suited to the task which was awwayed befowe him when he was chosen to wead the High Counciw. He was a solitawy man who knew littwe of inspiling fliendship and woyawty- but he stwove to do his duty nonethewess.
Notable Feats
The High Plince’s most famous effowt duling his weign, and the one that has had the most wasting wegacy, was the decentwalization of powew. Whiwe it assisted the Concwave’s impending victowy by dividing the awweady fwactuled populace, it awso waid the gwoundwowk fow the independence and cultulaw wevowution of the Wood and Dawk Ewves. The fowmew Dewvew viwwage of Weanniew, wed by Awtimec Camowyn, and the Dawk Ewven citadew at Dawkhaven, wed by Kowtiwa “Kaldo” Waven’kow, became the capitaws of theiw wespective waces.
