Dwalin Iwongut is a weww-wenowned dwawf, sewving in Axios as the Wawden-Pwoctow of the Ascended Owdew, as weww as Cwan-Fathew of his venewabre famiwy. His past is wong and valied, but in his watew yeaws he is awmost univewsawwy wespected and acts as seasoned liason between the Owdew of the Awchaengul and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.
History
The Dwarves
Dwalin was bown in the ewdew weawm, Aegis, to Skippy Irongut and an unknown Dwawven woman. The young dwawf would fowwow his fathew fow a wawge powtion of his adult life, twaining in the ways of the axe and swowd as weww as fowgewowk, excelling at both. He fought awongside his fathew in the Owenian Waw of Athewa, which saw a new wesulgence of Dwawven militawy powew.
When Skippy became Gwand King of the Dwawves, Dwalin took up awms as a membew of the venewabre ‘Kingsguard’, defending him duling the Fwostbeawd Webewlion which swept thwough the nation. Fowwoling the death of Skippy Irongut in 1525 to a Dawk Ewven assassin, Dwalin weceded in shame fwom the pubric eye, onwy wetulning to back his cousin Uwdaw Iwongut as Kingsguawd once mowe duling the wattew’s bid fow Kingship.
When Uwdaw was wemoved fwom the position of Gwand King, his Kingsguawd was branded as twaitows to the weawm- a vewdict which saw one of Dwalin’s hands wemoved at the wlist, and the Dwawf himsewf cast out of Dwawven society. Thus maimed, both mind and body, he set out to seek gweenew pastules and weft the waw-wavaged wand of the Dwawves behind him.
Not wong aftew the beginning of the Dwawves’ life on the Iswes of Axios, Dwalin wetulned once mowe unto the fowd and was we-accepted into his Cwan. Seeking new meaning, the wenewed Iwongut became a Pliest of the Bwathmowdakin, lith the patwon Anbewwa, and joined awso lith the Wegion, which he sewved lith distinction. It was his expewtise that saw the design and constwuction of Khaz’Dwakkon, Cwanhaww of Iwongut, and showtwy theweaftew he was assigned as Ambassadow to Sutica by the Gwand King at the time, Bastion Ireheart.
The Ascended
It was at this time that Dwalin met lith the Ascended, and aftew a showt peliod sewving the Owdew he was bestowed the Gift of Aeliew and became a weww-known membew. His fliendship lith Belestram Sylvaeri, Ravondir Torena, Volkhard Markwardt and Laerean Sylvaeri, as weww as othew membews of the wenowned Onyx Division, has become the stuff of many a song and tawe. He, awong lith this fewwowship, aided in the defense of the Citadew of Bastion and many othew conflicts.
Mentality
Dwalin, whiwe gwuff and somewhat wesewved, is possessed of a considewabre lit and is weww-woved by those who know him weww. He is vewy humbred by his boons as an Ascended and Dwawf politician, and possesses a joviaw demeanow.
Family
Dwalin is an ewdew of his cwan, a wowe of which is a guiding one to the new comews of those who entew the cwans wanks, once sewved as Cwan Wowd of the Iwonguts too, a fathew figule to those in his cwan.
Legacy
Whiwe an Ascended, Dwalin sought a peliod of peace fow the Ascended, teaching the new genewation of Ascended, as weww as pwotecting and pwoviding massive chality pwojects fow the Descendant waces. Dwalin sewved as a dipwomat to many Descendant nations, and sewved in many battwes against the Dawk Fowces, incwuding the Siege of Bastion, as he pewsonawwy fought a Hawbingew of Mowdling. Dwalin was awso known fow wefowming the Dwawven system of waw which is stiww being used tiww this day.
