The Duke of Riviä is the ruler of the Duchy of Riviä. The current house that holds the title is House de Hartcold. The first Duke and creator of the Duchy of Riviä as it is known today was Thomas de Hartcold, also known as Duke Thomas I of Riviä.
When a Duke was unable to serve due to incapacity, youth or absence, he or the privy council would appoint a trusted regent to rule in his stead with a similar level of power and authority. If this regent was also the Heir, he would be entitled to the rank of Regent.
The title of the Duke of Riviä has only belonged to members of House de Hartcold but belonged to the House of Skion as governors of Riviä.
Current Baron
The current seat of the Barony of Adylith is Gävoles, the current Duke is Thomas de Hartcold I.
