Origin

A common saying amongst the Farfolk carvaners are too avoid the mass graves that occasionally appear in the desert. Bone of animals, descendants, and even birds can all be found within the pile that is known as a Bone-yard. Unless you wish for a slow painful death, they would advise you to tread lightly around the Dry Octapuss's nest.

Characteristics

An adaptive creature that evolved from living in the dry desert, they have many a time preyed upon small to medium animals as they hide amongst the sand, darting out to snap and twist them to render them immobile. They are as tall as a descendant, and it's sentient like look make them appear like a cursed person. These beings adapted to being away from water scources, becoming longer than the average octapuss, their heads growing wider and growing many sharp teeths. When they bite into the flesh of their prey, they do not eat the meat, only suck the blood until the prey is completely drie, without moisture in their skin or body, becoming only skin and bones. These remains are scatered in a mess around their nest, causing the phenomenon known as Bone-yards appearing in the middle of the desert. These beings regrow their tentacles if they are cut, but the head is a weakness. Cut it off, and it gets killed.
