Cryptus Shroom
Area: Dark Crypts
Size: Small
Edibility: Non edible
Alchemy Symbol: Fire
Alchemy Tier: Moderate
Note: This herb cannot be obtained mechanicaly, this is purely a lore herb.

A small flaky brown mushroom, which can be used to dry herbs and meats in root cellars. The Cryptus Shroom is named after the location it is usually found in, the mushroom is found in old dark crypts growing on decaying bodies.

Effects on use

If the Cryptus spores are disturbed and attach to - for example a freshly cut herb-, they would dry out the herb in an accelerated rate compared to natural hang-dry solutions. Most commonly used as a regent or dehydrator.

Alchemical uses

Having natural drying properties, it's obvious that it would be a Fire Symbol, in this case of Moderate Strength. It represents Heat and Dryness, but it's used more for healing storing ingredients than in potions. Though it can be used for poisons that could mimic an aging potion by drying the skin.
