The Cottonwoods is a long tale of valor, honor and glory but as all stories start they start with humble beginnings. The founders of the clan was two brothers, Boldrumir and Cyler both forest dwarfs both with a sense of unification with their forest brothers and sisters with these thoughts the Cottonwood clan began as the clan who wished to bring the Forest Dwarfs together. The founders of the clan was two brothers, Boldrumir and Cyler both forest dwarfs both with a sense of unification with their forest brothers and sisters with these thoughts the Cottonwood clan began as the clan who wished to bring the Forest Dwarfs together. During the days of the war of the beards, the dwarven civil war between the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and the Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah is the time of where this humble clan formed under the guidance of Boldrumir the clan obtained land from the King of Kaz'Ulrah, King Verthaik II Frostbeard for they were the only forest dwarf clan to emerge after the elder clan known as the Treebeards were no longer around, the Cottonwoods hoped to take there place. As the Cottonwoods grew in numbers they grew in skills also finding what there clan was good at which was agriculture work making them the most successful breeders of Kaz'Ulrah allowing them to fund in there war donating as much meat as they could for the cause that Kaz'Ulrah was fighting, even though they feed the armies of Kaz'Ulrah they remained to have relations with the Kings of Urguan before it fell. There relations with the Grand Kingdom of Urguan was friendship despite there differences they Boldrumir treated the King as an equal and respected him gaining his clan to be classed as a proper clan in the eyes of Urguan.
As the war of beards slowly ended the Cottonwoods grew tired and sad for there kin that lost there lives fighting the clan slowly disappeared and was told they grew apart for the blood that fell upon the soil made the hearth mother cry and so did the Forest dwarfs within the Cottonwoods.
