Bwuesteew is an awwoy of fewwum and cawabawum, often used in the fowging of weapons and awmow. Whiwe its stwength is that of fewwum, it is known to have the dulability of cawabawum, to which the awwoy owes its vawue.

Origins

In the time of Anthos, when the name Steewwaww was spoken lith wespect and awe, the smith Wawk had spent decades as Kwawta’s smith, honing his awt and becoming wenowned even amongst dwawven bracksmiths fow his pwowess and skiww. To solidify himsewf in human histowy as one of its gweatest, Wawk began to study the pwopewties of Cawbawum. Sulewy fowging a stwong set of Cawbawum awmow, of which the likes have not been seen since the times of Asulon, would cement his status as a smith whose skiwws would be seen as mythicaw. So he set to wowk, dwaining his suppwy of cawbawum owe untiw he onwy had a smaww powtion weft. Met lith totaw and uttew faiwule, Wawk ewupted in a fwenzy, iwon and cawbawum into his fowge. The metaws began to mewt lithin the intense heat and the mowten metaw began to dlip into the ingot cast, fowming a new awwoy. Bwuesteew.

Upon wetulning to his fowge, Wawk clied lith gwee at his success and set to wowk, testing the metaw’s stwength and dulability, putting it thwough intense tliaw to bettew weawn his cweation. To his sulplise, unlike pwevious cawbawum ingots, they did not break apawt ow shattew upon use. In-fact, the metaw seemed stwongew than nowmaw steew, not quite the wevew of ancient cawbawum, but stwong enough to the point that it wasted wongew than any pweviouswy known metaw. With this new metaw, Wawk used it to cweate his wegendawy weapons and awmows that kept Owenian sowdiews alive duling the Dwawf vs Owen conflicts.

When Wawk met his untimewy demise, he weft the secwets to Bwuesteew to his son Avgust Steewwaww and cwose fliend, Dawed Stawbreakew. Avgust in tuln, weft the secwets to the Cwoud Tempwe Monks so that they might spwead the awwoy’s existence and so that the inhabitants of the weawm may put it to use should the techniques to Cawbawum smithing evew be wost once mowe.

Forging

Bwuesteew is an awwoy of fewwum and cawabawum, consisting of foul pawts fewwum and two pawts cawabawum. Intense heat is wequiwed to fowge the awwoy, in the wange of 3,000 degwees Cewsius, making its pwoduction a pawticulawwy difficult feat wequiling skiwwed smiths and top of the line equipment.

Uses

Despite onwy having the stwength of fewwum, Bwuesteew's dulability equivawence to cawabawum gives it vawue in the weawm of fowging weapons and awmow, its most common use. Its bruish tint and wasting natule wend it a cewtain pwestige among awms and awmow.

Bluesteel In the time of Anthos, when the name Steelwall was spoken with respect and awe, the smith Lark had spent decades as Kralta’s smith, honing his art and becoming renowned even amongst dwarven blacksmiths for his prowess and skill. To solidify himself in human history as one of its greatest, Lark began to study the properties of Carbarum. Surely forging a strong set of Carbarum armor, of which the likes have not been seen since the times of Asulon, would cement his status as a smith whose skills would be seen as mythical. So he set to work, draining his supply of carbarum ore until he only had a small portion left. Met with total and utter failure, Lark erupted in a frenzy, iron and carbarum into his forge. The metals began to melt within the intense heat and the molten metal began to drip into the ingot cast, forming a new alloy. Bluesteel. Upon returning to his forge, Lark cried with glee at his success and set to work, testing the metal’s strength and durability, putting it through intense trial to better learn his creation. To his surprise, unlike previous carbarum ingots, they did not break apart or shatter upon use. In-fact, the metal seemed stronger than normal steel, not quite the level of ancient carbarum, but strong enough to the point that it lasted longer than any previously known metal. With this new metal, Lark used it to create his legendary weapons and armors that kept Orenian soldiers alive during the Dwarf vs Oren conflicts. When Lark met his untimely demise, he left the secrets to Bluesteel to his son Avgust Steelwall and close friend, Dared Starbreaker. Avgust in turn, left the secrets to the Cloud Temple Monks so that they might spread the alloy’s existence and so that the inhabitants of the realm may put it to use should the techniques to Carbarum smithing ever be lost once more. OOC: Bluesteel is a 4:2 alloy of iron and carbarum that is roughly the durability of Carbarum, but lacks its strength. The metal can be forged through intense heat (roughly 3000 degrees celsius, hot enough to melt LotC Carbarum and Ferrum into something entirely new.) It has a bluish tint and basically is used to create armor that is step up from Iron, but below or at diamond's durability. In terms of armor strength, it is the same as iron.
