A truly repulsing creature, they possess large claws protruding from their toes and fingers, as well as a sharp beak. They might be mistaken for an ugly woman if it weren’t for the two large wings sprouting from their backs and the sharp beak, Harpies also have a lethal screech, which appears in the dreams of those foolish enough to stumble upon their lair.

Some find zombies repulsing, others find spiders more so, but the Harpy is doubtlessly the most disgusting of the lesser demons, they have humanoid legs and arms, though large raven-like wings sprout from their backs. There are different types of Harpies, which shall not be noted, a recurring trait seems to be kleptomania. Harpies possess a sort of oil that escapes their pores when going into combat, it is believed to be linked to the glands located beneath the beak.

Harpies prefer mountainous areas, full of rocky ledges where they can build nests and swoop down on unsuspecting travelers.

Birds Birds are very useful to citizens in the realms of Lord of the Craft. They care commonly used to deliver messages and can also be kept as a pet. They are usually quite obedient and can find those whom they seek. They will also go to a mailbox, if the intended recipient of a letter has one. They may never replace couriers but they are just as reliable. Many aviaries exist across the realm where birds can be found.

Common Birds

Some birds are frequently used for sending messages, as they have been for hundreds of years across various realms.

Ravens

Very distinguishable by it's dark feathers and caw. It is sleek and quick as the wind delivering notes when you need them the most, they are loyal and will always get the job done. They also have quite the talons to attack with. Some superstitious folk avoid using them, as they are occasionally believed to cause bad luck.

Pigeons

The Pigeon is one of the most commonly used birds as they are in wide abundance throughout Anthos. They are rather easy to take care of and more susceptible to capture due to their lack of speed compared with other species. They also lack in self defense as their talons are small and not sharp.

Hawks

Very few hawks are trained to carry notes and deliver them successfully, they are majestic broad creatures very easy to see amongst the sky. One of high ranking will usually have a hawk as their bird. Their speed is nearly unmatched and they have a fearsome attack.

Crows

Commonly mistaken for the raven, the crow is sleek and is commonly found in fields. They are much harder to train than usual. They use their beak to poke eyes out if angered, making them difficult to train and use effectively.

Alabaster Seabird

The Alabaster Seabird is native to Anthos. Very large birds, they make for a prime target when flying. Adult Seabirds are nearly impossible to train, but juveniles can be easily taught to recognize their master and deliver letters well. Many sailors dislike using them, as it is believed they will bring the doom to seafarers who try and tame them.

Gy'wakas

The Gy'waka Bird is an extremely large bird found on some islands off the coast of Anthos. The Kharajyr have used the Gy'wakas as mounts, although training and using the birds is a long and difficult process.

Adrallan Cranes

The Adrallan Crane are magnificently tall crane that lives in the forest of Adrallan.

Kestrels

Kestrels are small birds of prey with long tails.

Vourukh

Vourukh are big birds that live in hot environments.
