Batavian is the language spoken by the Batavian people, also known as the Batavi people. Batavian is a dialect of the common tongue and is very similar to Waldenian with the two having shared roots. The Batavian language came to be with the Batavi tribe, a pagan tribe from Aegis. Not much is known about the Batavi tribe besides that they were less developed in their technology, leading to them being conquered quickly by the rising Kingdom of Oren.
