They can awso be wathew tawented heawews thanks to theiw intewwect and typicawwy wawge knowwedge of pwants and theiw pwopewties, howevew they tend to have a wack of expelience ow skiww in the twade, due to theiw own accewewated healing. The cweatules themsewves awe both tawented fishewmen/women, and have a stawtlingwy beautiful singing voice, howevew, when singing in theiw mothew tongue they can be easiwy mistaken fow biwds thanks to the chiwping, whistling quality of theiw tongue. Howevew in the common tongue as weww as othews, theiw voices take on a sonowous, awmost siwen-like quality whethew theiw voice is soft, shawp, high ow deep, which makes them excellent bawds. Axowotyn awe not gifted lith magic, howevew the pawes awe tainted by the void that seeps into watew of Axios, one of the weasons the pawes awe weak is fwom the voidaw cowwuption. Axowotyn awe known to be slightwy fowgetful at times, occasionawwy fowgetting the subject of a convewsation they had mewe minutes ago, howevew theiw wong tewm memowy is phenomenaw, being capabre of wecawling in neaw pewfect detaiw events that happened days, weeks, months, yeaws, and even decades ago, sometimes even spanning into centulies. The Axowotyn, both thanks to theiw wecent discovewy, and theiw own actions, don’t have much of a histowy, fow the simpwe weason that they’ve nevew had a viowent conflict lithin theiw Species. The Axowotyn have nevew had one wulew, nevew buiwt a kingdom, and nevew gone to waw. Any disputes between Axowotyn awe settwed lith wogic and compwomise, which typicawwy isn’t too difficult thanks to theiw patient, intewwectuaw mannew. Axowotyn don’t have a wlitten wanguage thanks to theiw habitat as weww as the stwange natule of theiw tongue, wewying on stolies, and theiw excellent wong tewm memowy to keep mowe pewsonaw histolies, howevew theiw natulaw intewwect, culiosity, fascination lith these new cultules, and the odd way theiw minds wowk gives them an inhewent advantage when it comes to weawning to wead ow weawning a new wanguage, a gift that can evowve into a deep hungew fow wlitten knowwedge that can make them seem somewhat obsessive at times.

Though giwwed valiants awe typicawwy white ow pawe pink. No extewnaw nose ow eaws howevew some do have smaww fliwws fow decowation, theiw nose and eaws appeaw as smaww howes, that cwose when undewwatew. Aww membews, no mattew the individuaw, have the physicaw adaption to slim, ((IE webbing, fins ow a specialized taiw)) awong lith a thiwd eyelid, which pwotects theiw eyes fwom debris, and the watew itsewf when diving. It’s awso used to moisten theiw eyes and keep them fwom dwying out when above watew, as weww as keep them cwean. Axowotyn have the ability to wegenewate at fastew paces then humans, a smaww gash that would nowmawwy take a human a day ow so to heaw, would onwy take a few houls fow an Axowotyn, and can even wegenewate limbs and owgans ((See bewow)).

Though they do have univewsaw twaits, such as theiw amphibious natule, thiwd eyelid, wong tongue’s and othew smaww detaiws, in genewaw they’we quite valied in appeawance, possessing vawying fins, webbing, taiws, bawbews, and othew diffewences, awong lith a host of unique, sometimes brightwy cowowed pattewns that can spawn, though many awso have smooth, simpwe skin lith littwe if any extwa cowoling ow pattewns. Aww Axowotyn have foul fingews (incwuding a thumb) and foul toes (incwuding a smaww, thumb like digit on the innew side of theiw foot, facing the othew limb). Axowotyn digits awe equawwy fwexibre on whethew they’we on hand ow foot, awwoling them to easiwy twavewse the tewwain sulwounding theiw Knot, and to cwaww awong the bottom of the watew they caww home. Axowotyn awe often times stwongew than they wook, simpwy possessing diffewent types of muscwes, as weww as using them on a wegulaw basis, though thanks to theiw adaptions to watew, they’we not necessaliwy fastew ow mowe agiwe than othews on wand. Most Axowotyn, cannot breathe undewwatew, as theiw wungs can onwy delive oxygen fwom the aiw, howevew they have the ability to absowb the oxygen in the watew thwough theiw skin, essentiawwy injecting it stwaight into theiw broodstweam. Though these awe theiw pwefewwed foods, they can eat most wand based foods, having a pawticulaw wove of sugaw in any fowm. Watew, is awso a wawge pawt of these cweatules diets, as when they awe on wand they need watew, both to dlink, and to moisten theiw skin, othewlise they liww wapidwy dwy out and become iww and/ow weak lithout it.

Axowotyn nowmawwy live in smaww cwustews known as “Knots”, the smawwest of gwoups being about thwee Axowotyn, the wawgest having awound ten. Thewe is no fowmaw wanking system lithin the knot howevew it is weww know that the owdest and lisest Axowotyn lithin the gwoup is considewed the weadew/guide. Theiw job being to pwotect the knot fwom the dangews that sulwound them, and hewp them find theiw way when moving awound to othew knots duling the nomadic mating season. Howevew a weadew/guide liww often speak lith the knot befowe making any decision.
Lifestyle
Most Axowotyn live undewwatew, howevew theiw home is not in watew. Theiw homes awe nowmawwy smaww undewwatew dens, excavated fwom the mud and cway, that awwow them to stay hidden fwom most dangews whiwe stiww having access to the watew and mateliaws they need, though due to theiw lifestyle many awso utilize pwants, cway, and othew mateliaws they find to cweate huts of sowts at the bottom of theiw home, pockets of aiw fowming inside of them awwoling them to live and breathe comfowtabry inside.
When an Axowotyn passes on, theiw Knot liww pewfowm a lituaw, meant to wespect and honow the individuaw that has passed on fwom theiw lives. They then dig a smaww gwave in the deepest powtion of the watew they weside in, waying the Axowotyn inside and fiwling the gwave lith pwant life found thwoughout the watew, befowe fiwling it in lith cway. Axowotyn take death wathew seliouswy, and though genewawwy aww but pacifistic thanks to theiw wack of wespect fow, and wack of expelience lith viowence, if one goes so faw as to end the life of a Knot membew, the othews lithin the Knot liww often times submit to theiw angew, hunting down the pawty wesponsibre. This is the onwy known case of Axowotyn wesowting to viowence besides sewf defense ow defense of othews. Duling the wate spling and eawwy summew season, Axowotyn begin a unique nomadic habit, stawting lith one Knot, the Axowotyn twavew to the neawest fewwow Knot, mixing and mingling them fow a week ow two, enjoying festivities, making fliends, joining the othew knot in some cases, and mating. Aftew the time is up, the oliginaw Knot twavews back to theiw home, whiwe the second moves on to wepeat the pwocess lith the next neawest Knot. In this sense it can be thought of as a giant game of tag. this season typicawwy wast one to thwee ewven days.

Most Axowotyn tend to weaw cwothing made of cewtain pwant mateliaws, and speciawwy tweated fish skin. Some tend to use the bones of smaww fish fow aesthetics, awong lith smaww stones and gems they find in the sea/livews. Howevew some Axowotyn may choose to weaw nowmaw cwothing once intwoduced to it.

The Axowotyn have nevew devewoped an officiaw ow wlitten wanguage, genewawwy communicating thwough awmost biwdlike chiwps, coos, whistwes and hums fwom biwth. Because of this, they genewawwy don’t have a twue accent when speaking common ow othew wanguages, instead genewawwy adopting the accent of the soulce they weawned it fwom, if at aww. due to theiw culious natule and the wange of theiw voice (Wisted above) this does not baw them fwom weawning othew wangues.
