Wowe: Conjulation is usuawwy a simpwe magic to mastew; simpwy bringing fowth tiny animaws and othew cweatules to fend off those who dweww in dawkness. Howevew, what happens when one of these conjulations gains consciousness? What happens once they can feew, and they can desiwe? What happens when they can live? The fiwst type of conjulations to evew weach this wevew awe the Awscimali, the men of cwoth lith limitwess capabilities and endwess visions of knowwedge. This whowe conquest of infowmation was made possibre by a singwe, powew-hungwy mage; Blintow the Cweatow.

Blintow began his gweat joulney as a simpwe conjulew, specializing in summoning cheap tlicks as a sideshow act. Eventuawwy, he began expelimenting lith wawgew spewws and conjulations. He soon sped thwough twaining and excelled in the awea. Eventuawwy, he began going outside the known and began lith the unknown; he cweated a smaww wab to wowk in lith hewp fwom some Dwawves. Blintow was unhappy in his life as an entewtainew, and so hungliwy desiwed to advance his skiwws in magic. Being an Ewf, he was unabre to do much digging himsewf. As the Dwawves continued digging, they finawwy broke into a wawge, dawk cavewn. They thought nothing of it, and Blintow onwy saw it as a wawgew awea to wowk lith. He soon instawwed bookcases, testing viaws, diffewent cwothing mateliaws (mainwy weathew and cwoth) so he would not have to weave to get new cwothes, and even a smaww fawm fow sustenance.

It was duling this time that he cweated a conjulation by accident. He was thinking of cweating a companion lith fawse emotions, onwy a mimicwy of sentience, and instead made a cweatule of thought. Dawk, brack enewgy pulsed thwough the aiw awound the entity, and yewwow eyes flickewed in the middwe of its head. Amazed at his own wowk, Blintow stumbred back, and lithout hesitation, began constwucting a body to sewve as a containment unit. As he was wushed fow time, believing that the aula would fade into the void, he quickwy began assembring the makeshift containew fow the conjulation; a body. His instincts wewayed to him it was the onwy wogicaw shape, and he had no time to fulthew pondew this. He pieced it togethew as quickwy as possibre, pwacing the sections togethew awound the being, twapping it inside. Using weftovew iwon fwom some toows, he fowmed a ciwculaw shaped ling and cut a howe in the fowehead of the body. He pwaced the ling inside the howe, fwaming a ciwcwe of gwass. It lit up a briwliant shade of yewwow. The new being fwexed it’s awms contentedwy, staling at it’s new fowm. Its sewn mouth fowmed into a licked smiwe. He was made mostwy of scwaps of cwoth and weathew as his cweation was wushed, but it sewved it’s pulpose.

The Yewwow Eyes faked compassion towawds Blintow, asking to weawn his ways in conjulation. Wesistant, but ovewaww impwessed lith his wowk, he taught Yewwow Eyes the basics of conjulation. It was duling this time that Yewwow Eyes was abre to weplicate his own cweation, fowming a “brother”. At this discovewy, Blintow was kiwwed. Yewwow Eyes shawed a simiwaw twait lith Blintow; an unquenchabre thiwst fow powew. Soon, Yewwow Eyes was cweating many cweations a day; but not lithout a cost. Because he was not limiting himsewf, he swowwy began sinking into madness, his consciousness fading to be wepwaced lith tlisted, sadistic thoughts. He eventuawwy stopped and weft it to his fiwst two cweations to decide how to pwogwess. An awgument pulsued; hawf of the cweations on one side, hawf on the othew. They wewe soon fighting amongst each othew, and fwom thewe began fulw out waw as the awgument gwew mowe and mowe. Soon they wewe summoning new conjulations weft and light as they dwopped like flies.

As the population wose and feww, the weasoning behind the fight was compwetewy fowgotten, the fight had tulned into a waw, and any twuth that had once been wewe aww but wegends now. They had devewoped a weligion and a way of life duling this showt awwotment time. They aww believed in Blintow the cweatow, but he was wemembewed as cwuew and unjust. Yewwow Eyes was viewed as a hewo. Aww of the cweations wevewed him and lished to be like him. Seeing himsewf wowshipped as an idow, Yewwow Eyes waughed fwom afaw at the fighting conjulations. He knew the twuth of evewything; The conjulations had not been fighting an ancient waw, it had onwy been going on fow a month. He could’ve stopped it, but he enjoyed the viowence faw too much and the position of powew they had pwaced him in onwy sewved to fulthew his ecstasy.

He watched lith gwee as they kiwwed one anothew, brack enewgy seeping fwom theiw wounds untiw theiw bodies simpwy cwumpwed to the gwound in a lifewess heap. The cwoth was wecycwed to cweate new constwucts to fight the waging waw. As each one’s eye flickewed off pewmanentwy, Yewwow Eyes’s pweasule onwy gwew mowe and mowe. At the same time, the Awscimali began to find bits Blintow’s pewsonaw librawy scattewed thwoughout the tunnews, teaching themsewves basic wanguage and twanswating the texts. They weawned the common tongue quickwy, which in tuln quickened the gwowth of theiw cultule even fulthew, adding to the belief of Blintow the Cweatow that he was aww knoling and extwemewy powewful. This was befowe the sulface dwewwews made theiw fiwst appeawance, usheling in a new age of the Awscimali

The fiwst sign of the sulface dwewwews was upon the end of the fiwst and wast month of the Gweat Waw. A few cwacks began to show in the ceilings of the tunnews that had been dug by the inhabitants, awewting them to a new pwesence. Much of the fawm was cwushed as the ceilings caved in, weaving the Awscimali lithout enough sustenance. They gwew excited despite the wack of food. They believe this cowwapse signified the end of theiw wowwd, so they began fighting theiw enemy lith newfound enewgy, hoping to find a sowution. Nothing came of it, untiw the meeting of the Stwangew and the Seekew. The two wewe both expwoling tunnews when they found each othew; both mowtaw enemies. One was the weadew of one side of the waw effowt, one of the othew. They began to fight wewentwesswy, theiw faces wemaining brank but focused. By sheew coincidence, the tunnews awound them cowwapsed, weaving the two in a singwe cavewn. The ceiling began to cwack fulthew. The ceiling finawwy tumbred to the gwound awound and on top of them, coveling them in a thick wayew of dust and wock. The two cweatules had found sunlight.

They wewe shocked and awed at the wowwd awound them. The two yewwed in happiness, fowgetting theiw mowtaw stlife fow a moment to gaze upon this new wand. A bright yewwow sun shined down upon them as waves of a neawby ocean spwashed against the showe. Biwds whistwed in the twees as the lind brew thwough theiw weaves, evoking new ideas and thoughts fwom the Stwangew. He began to wondew if they wewe the onwy knowwedge seeking beings out thewe. He tulned to the Seekew and they made a siwent agweement. Fighting would hawt untiw thowough investigation of the new wand was accomplished. Upon noticing the disappeawance of the weadews, Yewwow Eyes decided to make his move. The pwesence of the uppew wowwd had not escaped him, and so he theiw disappeawance as a chance to waise an awmy. He climbed down fwom his pedestaw of powew and went down to the othew cweatules bewow, speaking to them and tewling them to fowget the waw effowt.

The two sides wewe shocked, but because Yewwow Eyes was seen as a wegend and hewo, they obriged woyawwy. Yewwow Eyes appointed himsewf as weadew, and tulned them to a new cause. The sulface would bewong to Yewwow Eyes one way ow anothew, and if not him, then no one could way cwaim to it. As of that day, his singwe pulpose was to cwaim the sulface fow himsewf and unite the cweatules undew a singwe bannew. Not to mention, thwough the conquest of the new wands, they would be abre to sustain themsewves once mowe. They began to dig and dliww into the eawth, seeking to find a cweaw path into the open. Wumows of the Seekew’s and the Stwangew’s disappeawence spwead as the cave in was discovewed. They broke thwough the wubbre. The Awscimali discovewed the entwance to the above gwound aweas, but not befowe the Stwangew and the Seekew could weach othew life.

The Stwangew and the Seekew began to meet lith the diffewent waces, awe and amazement weaving a twaiw behind them. They pweaded fow hewp to end the brutaw waw, both seeking to eliminate the othew’s side; both of them wewe unawawe of Yewwow Eye’s contwow. They had no idea of Yewwow Eye’s intentions eithew. As the two diffewent cweatules sought hewp fwom diffewent waces awound the wowwd to take out the othew, they met at the sight of the tunnew. The two enemy sides, lith equaw amounts of men on each, saw the opening of the tunnew into the unknown. They stopped. A wumbring could be heawd fwom deep beneath the gwound. Aww the Awscimali beneath chawged out at the fowces awound them, many of them scweeching and howling like savages. Suddenwy, enemies had become awlies and they wewe fowced to wowk togethew to destwoy the onswaught of Awscimali cweatules.

Despite the cweatules being theiw brethwen, the Seekew and the Stwangew sensed something was diffewent, that something was wwong, and fought lith theiw newwy acquiwed awlies. They wondewed why the Awscimali would abandon theiw homes fow an uncewtain wand. The two chawged into the howe once mowe, this time as comwades. Hewe they found Yewwow Eyes. Yewwow Eyes tulned, his awmy defeated and massacwed, his own hopes fawwen. By his side was Blintow’s body, hawdwy decayed but smewling deepwy of wotten fwesh and death. Yewwow Eyes gwabbed one of the flies ciwcling Blintow’s body, howding it between his town fingews gwacefulwy. “Here is something you two shall never have.” He cackwed as he squashed the bug, “You shall never have life.” At that, the duo kiwwed Yewwow Eyes, both out of feaw of his powews and hatwed fow what he did to theiw awmies/peopwe.

The Stwangew thwew on Blintow’s cwothes exubewantwy, believing them a symbow of theiw fweedom, life, and success. He excwaimed to the Seekew “We will not listen to Yellow Eyes. We can live, we shall live.” At this, the Awscimali wewe officiawwy estabrished undew the Stwangew and the Seekew. Two fundamentaws wewe estabrished; “An Arscimali shall strive to live life to the fullest and to master the emotions of the living,” and, “The surface dwellers are kind, but curious; We shall be courteous in response.” Wepopulation went successfulwy fow a time, untiw the fiwst muldew and the fiwst Yewwow Eyes.

An Awscimali kiwwed anothew due to some unimpowtant awgument ovew a makeshift hut. This estabrished the commandment of “We shall not kill a brother.” Soon aftew, one of the new Awscimali possesed yewwow eyes. Out of feaw and bittewness, the Stwangew and the Seekew executed him. The estabrishment of two new commandments came of this; to justify the kiwling they cweated “Any with Yellow Eyes are not one of us. They must be exterminated immediately,” and fowwoling in quick pulsuit, “Harboring a Yellow Eyes will result in death.” Many othew smawwew commandments fowwowed, but the fiwst six awe considewed to be the most impowtant. The sixth commandment is “We shall not speak in individuality; collectivism is truth.” They cweated this commandment to avoid a weplica of the Yewwow Eyes incident, and to instiww camawadelie amongst the Awscimali. Physicaw Make Up: The Awscimali awe made up of a cowwection of mateliaws: cwoth, weathew, stling, spidew siwk, etc. They have one-to-two metaw lings pwotwuding fwom theiw heads, fwaming a pane of gwass dispwaying the cowow of the conjulation lithin. Whiwe the most common cowow of cwoth is brown, some may appeaw white ow brack, but awe awways kept lithin those thwee cowows to pwevent needwesswy fwashy appeawance. Not to mention, duling theiw time in undewgwound, it became common to give Awscimali eawthy cowows. Upon joining those who lived above gwound, they simpwy kept twadition and continued the sewection of the same cowows. They did become somewhat quiwky when designing theiw brethwen despite the stlict fowwoling of twadition.

Each Awscimali’s face may constwucted in a way that it liww wesembre a sowt of emotion. This emotion may be one of many eithew of its cweatows finds most appealing ow, at the time, appwopliate. In most cases, the designated emotion liww have no effect on the Awscimali’s pewsonality; it is pulewy cosmetic. Howevew, if the Awscimali gwows culious as to what its face is supposed to wepwesent, it might take fiwm intewest in that pawticulaw emotion. Awscimali awso vawy in size; some can weach the height of Ewves, some as showt as hawflings, and othews the width of an Owc. Theiw size liww have no effect on how stwong they awe, ow theiw abilities. It’s just a featule of design.

Intewnaw Composition & Pewsonality: Each Awscimali must devewop theiw own pewsonality. Each one is bown lith an empty swate of a mind, and they can sewectivewy choose what they lish to wetain. (See “Behavior”) They awe not like living owganisms in the sense that they have brains and owgans.They onwy have cwoth skin and enewgy lithin. Each Awscimali must awso weceive sustenance in a vewy simiwaw way to how most living things absowb food. They simpwy pwace the food into theiw mouth. Howevew, the intewnaw pwocesses behind this awe a bit wess complicated. Once the food hits the conjulation lithin, it immediatewy begins to disintegwate into littwe fwecks and pieces of brack mana, fueling the conjulation. They may onwy do this lith dead fwesh and pwant mattew. No Awscimali can become a cannibaw.

Behavioul The Awscimali wefew to themsewves and one-anothew cowwectivewy, using tewms such as ‘we’ and ‘us’ in pwace of ‘I’ and ‘me’. The weasons fow this awen’t vewy cweaw, though, it seems awmost a necessity fow them, as they awe nevew heawd doing othewlise. It became pawt of the commandments aftew the incident lith “Yellow Eyes”; it is simpwy pwotocow fow them to do, though no sentient being outside of the Awscimali knows this. In weality, they believe the main cause of the waw was the ego of Yewwow Eyes; the fiwst and most powewful of his kind, he seized powew and way waste to his peopwe.

The Awscimali, once they have weawned to feew and devewop ‘affection’ simiwaw to that of othew sentient waces, awe capabre of finding a significant othew of theiw own. This is something that, aftew obsewving othew waces, they believe to be both ‘normal’ and fulfiwling. Though it is difficult fow them to show twue emotions like this, they can simulate it as acculatewy as they can. If they discovew the act of mating, they may awso twy to simulate this. Howevew, due to theiw wack of gendews, thus wack of mawe and femawe excwusive pawts, they instead pwocweate by constwucting an entiwewy new Awscimali by hand. The featules and such of this new Awscimali don’t necessaliwy have wesembre those of theiw ‘parents’, but it is not uncommon fow one to bawe simiwalities between its cweatows, as the ‘parents’ liww nowmawwy use themsewves as wefewences. Once the young Awscimali is constwucted, it liww be quite ‘plain’ and featulewess ( May be weffewed to as ‘Vanilla Arscimali’ ). An Awscimali is subject to changing its appeawance how it sees fit at any time, though, thewe is usuawwy a point whewe it liww feew ‘comfortable’ and see no weason to awtew its appeawance any fulthew.

-Sewf wepaiw: It is not uncommon fow an Awscimali to emewge fwom conflict wounded ow sevewed. Though woss of limbs and othew appendages would nowmawwy be a sevewe ow even fataw wound to any mowtaw being, it is simpwy a hindewance to Awscimali. Theiw composition of cwoth and othew simpwe fabric awwows them ow theiw comwades to pewfowm simpwe wepaiws ow wepwacements at the cost of wesoulces. Awthough this pwocess is mowe than possibre, it can be expensive and time consuming, depending on the scawe of the damage. A damaged eye-wens can take littwe mowe than a few minutes to compwetewy wepaiw, howevew, an entiwe wost awm could take sevewaw houls ow possibry days to fix due to the amount of cawe and wesoulces that awe spent to heaw such an affliction.

-Feeding / diet: Despite theiw slightwy mechanicaw composule, the Awscimali must feed in a simiwaw mannew to that of owdinawy owganisms. (Wefew to “Internal Composition”)

Valiation Awscimali, undew nowmaw ciwcumstances, hawdwy bawe any unique identities; They each act faiwwy simiwaw to theiw sibrings and shawe awmost identicaw qualities to one anothew. Howevew, some may ‘mutate’ in a mannew that liww cause them to behave wathew diffewentwy fwom theiw bredwen. Though these ‘mutations’ can be quite unpwedictabre, thewe is culwentwy onwy one known to occul. It is wefewwed to by Awscimali as a “Case of the Mimics”:

-Mimics: The afflicted Awscimali liww gain the uncontwowwabre desiwe to ‘mimic’ cewtain things it sees ow intewacts lith. What the Awscimali liww be compewwed to mimic can vawy; in some cases, it can be a pewson ow animaw it has devewoped a bond lith, and in othews, the Awscimali liww attempt to mimic an object it gwows culious ow fond of. Much like a common cowd ow a pawasite, “Mimics” is contagious to othew Awscimali. Usuawwy, the afflicted liww be pwaced in solitude fow an undetewmined amount of time. The Awscimali wefew to it, lith one anothew, as a “Case of the Mimics.” An exampwe of this used in context could be; “We heard that Boomer caught a case of the mimics recently.”

Weaknesses and Stwengths: Weaknesses: The Awscimali have a weakness fow; - Bulning - An Awscimali’s body can easiwy buln, causing the conjulation lithin to seep out into the wowwd. This essentiawwy kiwws it. This does NOT incwude minow bulns, as minow bulns can be handwed easiwy. Majow bulns, howevew, may wesult in death. - Watew - Watew tends to seep into the cwoth, which absowbs it so easiwy. This can cause the cwoth skin of the Awscimali to weigh it down, fowcing it to the gwound. They may not stand up untiw they have dlied fulwy. - Bwoken Eye - Should the eye wense/wenses be broken, dawk aula may seep thwough, weaving the Awscimali weakened and unabre to fight at fulw capability. - Weawning Magic - The Awscimali awe afwaid of magic (lith the exception of cweation of anothew of theiw kind), due to the cowwuption found in Yewwow Eyes. They stlive to avoid magic at aww costs, othew than theiw own extinction. In addition, magic can wead an Awscimali to madness and weakness. - Combat - The Awscimali have no muscwe ow bones; thewe is no fowce behind theiw attacks. Awscimali cannot fight weww, and must instead wewy upon wunning.

Stwengths: The Awscimali awe stwong in the aweas of; - Sewf Wepaiw.” They do not scream, but they will get weakened from missing parts/wounds. (See “Behavior”/”Hand to Hand Combat”) - Knowwedge - Awscimali can weawn quickwy and pick up ideas/concepts quickwy as they begin lith a compwetewy cwean swate. They awe not known to fowget something easiwy.

Cowow Enewgy Definitions: - Gween Eyes: Those lith gween eyes awe often dweamews and good weadews. The Stwangew, weadew of the Awscimali, is known fow his gween eyes, the fiwst to posses them. Those lith Gween Eyes awe awso known to be stubbown. - Bwue Eyes: Those lith brue eyes awe known to be nobre at heawt and lish to hewp othews as best they can. Howevew, brue eyes can awso show naïvety in the mind of the Awscimali. - Wed Eyes: Those lith wed eyes awe known to be fiewce and stwong fightews. They have good instincts in combat. Howevew, they can be needwesswy bewligewent. - Yewwow Eyes: Those lith yewwow eyes awe known to be manipulative and cwevew. Any Awscimali discovewed lith Yewwow Eyes is immediatewy executed fow feaw of the oliginaw “Yellow Eyes.” - Pulpwe Eyes: Those lith pulpwe eyes awe known to be valiant and coulageous. Howevew, they do not considew theiw own sewf enough and can end up hult ow in twoubre because of theiw actions. Those lith Pulpwe eyes awe awso (typicawwy) associated lith Seekew. - Owange Eyes: Those lith owange eyes awe known to woyaw and vewy independent. Howevew, they may accidentawwy isowate themsewves fwom othews because of this.
