Batavian
|
Batavian is the language spoken by the Batavian people, also known as the Batavi people. Batavian is a dialect of the common tongue and is very similar to Waldenian with the two having shared roots. The Batavian language came to be with the Batavi tribe, a pagan tribe from Aegis. Not much is known about the Batavi tribe besides that they were less developed in their technology, leading to them being conquered quickly by the rising Kingdom of Oren. This led to the Batavi people being absorbed into the Orenian population. The Batavi people remained under Oren for centuries and over time became known as the Batavian people, their culture was refined just like their language which is still spoken by Batavian people to this day.
