Biography
Early Life
Thomas de Hartcold was born to George de Hartcold and his wife, Eleanor de Hartcold, in 1619. He was raised alongside his twin sister, Merion de Hartcold, aswell as his two brothers, Edwin and Richard de Hartcold, and his younger sister, Charlotte de Hartcold. A few months after Thomas reached the age of eighteen years old, his father, George de Hartcold, was attacked and murdered in the forest. This event forced Thomas, at a young age to lead his house alongside his siblings later reforming it in general and creating a new Coat of Arms by uniting their Coat of arms and their war banner into one, forming the sigil that is still used to this day.
Unfortunately for Thomas and his other siblings, their mother, Eleanor de Hartcold, passed away shortly after their father's death leaving the de Hartcold siblings parent less. The children were then watched over closely by their uncle, Lanre de Hartcold, and therefore being raised alongside their cousin, Leonard.
It was around this time that he and some of his siblings, including his sister Merion, decided in their later years to form a Kingdom, which they called Adylith.
Marriage
In the year 1642, the twenty-five-year-old Thomas de married to Auralia de Hartcold. A private ceremony was held in the cathedral in the City of Senntisten, the Capital of the Kingdom of Marna. Two years later in 1644, Thomas and Auralia's first child was born - a daughter named Theresa de Hartcold.
Although the marriage between the two seemed to be going well in outside and private life, things started to break down between them. Four years after their marriage and three years after the birth of their daughter, Theresa Elizabeth de Hartcold, Auralia slept with someone behind Thomas' back, whom he thought was a friend and close ally. This point in time would lead to Thomas and Auralia being separated from each other for several years with her joining the Annsden Abby as a tenure, with Thomas focusing more on his duties as a member of the Order of Saint Lucien.
Desertion from Curon
A year prior to Thomas and Auralia's temporary split, Thomas, along with most members of House de Hartcold, left the Duchy of Curon after their noble rank was removed and instead of being replaced with Gentry which altered his ego and leaving him feeling betrayed by the Duke.
Three months after Auralia slept behind Thomas' back, Thomas was summoned to Curon by Auralia herself with the orders from Karl Devereux, the Duke of Curon. Upon arriving at the feast hall of the Duke, he was apprehended by his brother-in-law at the time, Jarrack Draskovits, as well as Sylvestre Halcourt. He was later imprisoned in the cells beneath the barracks. Thomas was tortured and almost killed by his captors. After all his captors left to deal with other issues, Thomas broke out of his cell and rode hard and fast towards the Kingdom of Marna for safety, later informing the Grand Master of the Order of Saint Lucien on what had happened.
