Early Life
Not much about the Kingslayer's early life is public knowledge. He was the cousin to minor nobility in Stassion, but only in his adult years. During his childhood, it is suspected he was raised as a farmhand somewhere in Aaun, likely serving as a levy for his local Liege. Adrien was only called to Stassion later on in his life, around his twenty-fourth year, mere months before the attack on Whitespire as part of the muster. This is due to his connection with the newly ennobled house of Vlacour. The head of which, Lord Tristand, was his first-cousin. Around this time, he infiltrated the Petran guard - but somehow he was discovered, and fled back to Stassion. Even though his mission ended in failure, he had proved his worth to the Prince.
The Kingslayer
Once the day came, Adrien mustered in Fredericksburg with the rest of the levy. A grand speech was given by Prince Frederick, the former King of Oren, before the march to Whitespire began. They slaughtered their way through the castle gates and cut down nobles, councillors and guardsmen alike; no one was saved from their wrath. Cowering in the corner of the room in fear, weakness and apparent understanding was the cripple-king of Aaun, Edmund II. Adrien surged forth, longsword drawn, and stabbed him through the stomach. In this blow, the King's life was ended, and with it the peace of the continent. A war had begun. The blade became a keepsake for his family, earning the nickname of 'Kingsbane'.
