Biography

Early Life

Not much was known about Cerrick's childhood as most of it was lost after the descendant exodus from Failor and the parting of the storm. To the present, he refuses to speak about times before Failor, as it was where he lost his family. Though his journey through Aevos is well documented through historical artifacts, signed documents, and forged items.

When he landed on the continent, he spent a year wandering the continent and exploring the depths of it, finding many new things and meeting people. It was here he became contracted to the Overlord of Hus, Hogo Bojo. Lord Bojo would teach him smithing of many types and kinds, giving him access to a library that vastly expanded the mans knowledge. He took up the trade of being a blacksmith, also studying religion on the side as a hobby. Cerrick would come to reside in Amathine, where a decade later he would become acquainted with Galar Ithelanen, who filled the Fenifaer with views of Order and Guardianship as guiding principles for Wood Elf Nationalism due to the Elven Jungle War. He would continue to hire himself out to groups as this occurred as there wasn't many elves willing to intervene in the war, which is where he started his contract with the Order of the Golden Lions.

Life as a Paladin

He was introduced into the Order under the guidance of Warden Amelia, alongside his brother Ryvel and another student named Valyndra. Him, alongside the other two, became sworn students of the Warden and completed their trials during the first stages of the Apotheosis of Xan and Azdromoth. During these times, Cerrick underwent excruciating trials of mental and physical fortitude, alongside painful training sessions in order to ensure combat readiness. During his first faceoff with Dragonkin, Cerrick would have moderate success in being able to fend off the hordes, yet disaster would strike soon after. During the retreat, a large portion of the Crusaders of the New Triumvirate set sail without a large portion of the Order of the Golden Lions, including Cerrick, Amelia, and Ryvel. During this, the drake Satar would let loose a torrent of flames unto the group, with Cerrick throwing himself in front of Ryvel as to save his life. For this, Cerrick endured first degree burns upon all of his body, requiring extensive treatment and long months in waters of life.

The Scolding of Xan

After the war had continued, Xan's Order was in chaos. Paranoia was high within the groups, cliques having been pit against each other long before the climax of the war. This caused rifts within leadership as Alatariel, a leading figure within the Order, vanished after multiple internal affairs turned sour. Soon after this, Aeolous faced Xan's Judgement at his own calling, repenting for the wayward sins against Order he had committed prior, thus being disconnected and shunned by the Light, though living. After this, the Council of Elders took charge of the Order, though they would be ineffective at leading a unified war effort due to groups being isolated from one another. The Aengul of Order would call upon the Crusaders and scold them for being so ineffective and daring to defy his decrees, declaring he would come down and fight Azdromoth himself, prompting the Crusaders to act hastily and make a strike to please their Commander.

The Almost End

A raiding party led by Warden Amelia would soon form, joining together Paladins with their Dwarven allies to assault the Azdrazi stronghold at Tor'Praeth. They had hoped to be joined by the numerous Paladins and Elders in attendance to the meeting of Xan, though they called irrational and left to their own devices. The assault on the Stronghold began, though they soon found themselves surrounded after a group of Azdrazi from the inside rang the bell, recalling Dragonkin and their allies from the fields surrounding and forcing the group to take refuge within the thin wall that separated the inside of the cave and the outside. The group was soon under siege, many of their Dwarven allies and some of their Paladin allies having abandoned the field in hopes of survival. It looked grim for the raiders as the Azdrazi bombed the entrance and soon entered, but Amelia of Ahad called upon one last trick up their sleeve, summoning Taharie's servant of Sordran to save the group. Though this would have a cost, for their safety made Sordran turn foot and never return to the conflict.
