She was the eldest daughter of Viceroy Cesar of Hyspia and his wife, Laurelie of Aquilae, being a notable member of House de Pelear. During her tenure, she was known for her love of parties and the arts, as well as the Hyspian Takeover of the courts in which she would place all her untitled family members on her council as advisors and the hosting of the sixth Lifstala.

Biography

Childhood

Princess Sofia Camila Valentina Isidora Ravn de Pelear was born to Viceroy Cesar I and Vicereine Laurelie I in 1887. Due to a drought within the Hyspian lands, she was reportedly born within her mother's homelands of Balian - and not long after, the Hyspian people went on to vassalize under Haense after a deal was struck under the Haense King, Karl III.

Princess Sofia's first reported memory was of attending a festival within Haense. Where she attempted the different games. It was there that she had her first truly memorable moment, sitting with a fortune teller. The young Sofia was told her life would be blessed by GOD, and she took it to heart, never forgetting the fortuneteller's words.

Her childhood was one of luxury, she enjoyed the sweet treats of the Hyspian palace and attended many events as she was known to be a social butterfly. Sofia had a total of three other siblings, her elder brother, Crown Prince Francisco - her younger brother and twin, Prince Alejandro and her one and only sister, Princess Veronica. She never quite got along with her elder brother, and in her younger years, she got along quite fine with her twin, while seemingly not knowing her younger sister too well.

Sofia was known to be quite vain as a child, writing poetry of herself and reading it aloud to all who would listen, alongside writing songs for and of the Hyspian people. It was from there, as her childhood came to an end, that her teenage years came.

Teenage Years

Princess Sofia's teenage years were a whirlwind. Upon turning the age of thirteen, a siege of Haense took place - demons rampaging and attacking what had come to be her home. She hunkered down alongside younger children within the Haense catacombs, alongside her sister, Princess Veronica. As the sounds of war screamed on outside, she had knelt, leading the group in prayer - while the adults who stayed with them took care of other matters. One prayer poured out after the next, and soon a Knight had arrived, to gather those grouped in the catacombs and lead them safely to the nearby Barclay keep until the fight should end. This gave Sofia a healthy respect for GOD, believing Him to have kept her and her family safe that day.

The turmoil did not end there, though, as throughout her teenage years, she seemed to only grow more beautiful by the day. This was evidenced by the poetry and songs written of her, confessions of love from all walks of life, and the three stalkers she managed to accumulate. By the time she was fifteen, her once love for poetry had faded to hatred, realizing that her beauty was a curse and not a blessing. And yet, she could not bring herself to give it up. Frequent spa days continued, she set the height of Hyspian fashion trends and she had a love for herself like no other. She would reject each confession, and the confessions soon turned into marriage proposals, having a total of twenty-two marriage proposals by the time she had turned eighteen years old. From people of all walks of life, commoners, nobles, bastards, and two royal proposals before she ever even met her future husband.

She kept with her studies, nonetheless, and while studying the Haense culture, she was invited to the Lok dinner of the then Crown Prince Georg and his to-be wife Lady Esfir Kortrevich, a fact little known.

Young Adulthood

As a young adult, her life continued to an extent as it did when she was a teenager. Her father reportedly had grown weary of the bombardment of proposals. Having received five of them in one day. He called for a court, where he'd announced a tournament for her hand will take place; one that never came to fruition. Sofia's twin brother, Prince Alejandro, would commit crimes throughout his life. One that made her once affection for her twin brother change to hatred, but the one that changed her life for good was his murder of their father, Viceroy Cesar I after Alejandro's disownment. This destroyed the young Sofia, she found that she could no longer stand the sight of the Hyspian sands she once adored. She packed up and moved to Haense fully after her father's death, in where she began her work under the Queen Esfir of Haense within the courts.

Sofia worked hard, in her attempt to persevere through her grief. It was even during her grief, that those would still attempt to catch her as their wife, pretending to be a friend before "going in for the kill". It was her family, namely her mother and sister, that saved her throughout this - even though she had avoided the lands of Hyspia at that time. She'd begun to grow close to the now King Georg I, drawn in by a man whom she could truly be friends with, with no strings attached.

Adulthood

Princess Sofia found as she grew, she feared losing her beauty - and so at the age of 24, she took a potion that would allow her to 'forever' look 21. Eternally beautiful. Not long after this and her friendship with King Georg I, that her long-missing and disowned twin brother had presented himself within Haense. He'd come to confess on a bet, and his form had changed from what was once flesh, to plant. Always the epitome of grace, it was a strange sight as Princess Sofia had broken down at the confession, King Georg I going on to order the once Prince, now Alejandro Sands to be burned in the square. Alejandro burned, someone who was once her brother.

It was after this, that she believed herself to be cursed, finding that while she was friends with King Georg, she was coming to love him. The only man in her life to see her for her, and not for her beauty. A curse, surely, for she now felt how those she rejected felt. He was married - and Sofia had no intentions of going for him, and began to think of a life within the church. Every day at dawn for a week, she would go to the church and kneel. Her head would lower and she would pray, seeking guidance from GOD. After each visit, she'd attempt to avoid King Georg, only to be pulled inexplicably towards him. It was not long after, that the Queen Esfir had come to pass on to the Seven Skies. Sometime after, Sofia was called upon for a meeting in the Haeseni palace. As she arrived, she would find that her brother, the now Viceroy Francisco I sat at a table with King Georg I. King Georg had called upon the duo for marriage talks, and the negotiations took place, Sofia rendered mute for she had no words. Reportedly, Sofia's dowry came out to be 72 camels and an heirloom for the marriage to be allowed, in which was paid in full. Hardly a week later, she was marrying the man she loved and she couldn't be happier.

As Queen Consort of Hanseti-Ruska

While her term as Queen was not for long, unbeknownst to herself, she assured that she put the work in. - Upon becoming Queen, the now Queen Sofia of Hyspia's first order of business was to revitalize the courts. She began her work with a series of interviews, bringing in new positions to ensure a smooth flow. A tournament was held, one open to all Haeseni Knights and BSK alike, in order to find her Marian Knight - in which the Ser Sterling Amador won, coming on to protect her.

It was mere days after that, that the protection would be needed. The Mori were invading, and there would be no fighting them off this time. Those of Haense were brought to the refugee camps at the ruins of Savoy, where even during the chaos, Sofia refused for that to be it. Varying festivities were held to keep up morale, and she'd spend each day speaking with her citizenry. The refugee camps turned into dark caverns, in which she led groups in its exploration. Strange plants and animals were gathered, and tasted - what was safe and documented for all to see, alongside fitting recipes so the people should not starve. With food handled and a home, attentions were turned to the other strange sights. Expeditions took place, in which unknown gemstones were found, the Mori collection was then made by the courts' Curator of the Crown Jewels. It did not stop there, for special fabrics were found and clothing made for those who needed it. - The dark caverns soon turned to vast lands, as those were still traveling for their new home-to-be. The Swans Keep was made, and overseen by her Marian Knight, the Ser Sterling Amador. Endless hours were spent, planting massive farms for crops to feed the people - reportedly the Queen's own gryphon-yisar aiding in this. Throughout it all, her priority was the people. Some months in, she found herself to be pregnant - and her worries shifted, to that of her unborn child.

Queen Sofia began to go to her husband frequently, speaking with him to get an edict passed, one that would allow royal females to inherit should it be needed. She was convinced she would have a girl and wanted only the best for her daughter and her future. Finally, did they reach the new lands, that of Aevos. The Queen Sofia had given birth, and as she predicted, it was a girl. The Princess Isabel. With their new home built, Queen Sofia would go on to plan Lifstala, Haense's social season, the last one to ever take place as the practice was later abolished during Queen Amaya's reign. Queen Sofia did not let her daughter out of her sight as she oversaw the social season, and found herself to be pregnant a second time during it. The day before the last day of Lifstala, Princess Amelya would be born. And in a tragic twist of fate, on the final day of Lifstala, upon the end of the ball - she learned of her husband's passing with both her elder brother and younger sister at her sides. Queen Sofia was now widowed, with a child a mere one-year-old and another the other a mere one-month-old.
