"Oh Yeu Rthulu, my goddess, my guide
I pray for your aid whilst in darkness I stride
I am weak, and gentle and weary and through
For your blessings I pray this morning, I call to you
Aid me in my daily walk, in craft and way
Help me to be kind in what I do and say
Your will is mine, and yours is of me
Aid me to act in total empathy
For yours is the day, and the day is mine
Good morning Yeu Rthulu, and may your light shine."

-Morning Prayer of an Unnamed Carpenter

The Aengul of Contentment and Compassion, Yeu Rthulu, is a minor Aengul that few know. She works towards making mortals content, specifically her followers of the Rthulan faith. Among them most don't recognize Yeu Rthulu as an Aengul, rather, referring to her as their God or patron. A compassionate and kind being, Yeu is noted as having a habit of manifesting on the mortal plane of existence. Walking among us and on rare occasion thought to produce a child who she leaves behind. There exist scattered accounts, dreams and visions, that feature a figure believed to be Yeu Rthulu and show her laughing, joking, even using sarcasm. Her followers believe her to be so because it is impossible for anyone to be truly content without laughter in their life.

Depictions

Portrait of Yeu Rthulu.

In artwork and visions, Yeu Rthulu is most often seen as a maiden of snow white skin and deep blue eyes (traits that members of clan Signus often have, resulting in them believing to be descendants of the Aengul). Despite this many of the Rthulan faith refer to their God as “it” instead of using feminine describers.
On occasion Yeu Rthulu can be depicted as a possum with snow white fur. Compared to other Aenguls however, this animal appearance is very rare.

The Strictures

Thirty strict rules, set in place by the Aengul to aid mortals in being content with their lives, are known in Rthulan faith as The Strictures. Their true origins, where and when they were written, are unknown but it is thought that Yeu Rthulu wrote them herself back when Aenguls and Daemons freely roamed the land.

Kavenjun

Kavenjun as seen in a dream.

(Kah-Ven-Yuhn)
Kavenjun is the realm of the afterlife created for Rthulan believers with a pure heart and a content mortal life. Very little is known of this realm, and some argue that it isn't real, yet its existence is said to be confirmed by Yeu Rthulu herself.
In visions and dreams Kavenjun is depicted as being a small, snowy paradise not in the mortal plane. It is described as an area filled with laughter and song, where one can be eternally content, with their family and friends forever.

Augurs

One of Yeu Rthulu's Augurs.

The Augurs of Yeu Rthulu are dedicated followers blessed with a transformation into a spectral-like creature. Any mortal who follows the Aengul and her strictures full-heartedly may feel called, an urge to aid others and see their lives made better. Should they follow this then after a few months Yeu Rthulu will urge the individual into a prolonged meditation from a few hours to a couple of days. At the end of this period they will enter a deep trance, unable to be woken, before becoming an Augur in a flash of light.
Augurs are freed from anger, hatred, and malcontent, unable to feel such things. Instead they are filled with love and joy, living examples of Yeu Rthulu’s will and what she can offer.

Enaction of Yeu Rthulu

Some followers of Yeu Rthulu may learn that through meditation they are able to send some of their soul’s essence to the Aengul through tiring meditation. Later they may draw upon this energy to create helpful wisp companions or unharming flames. These spells cannot be used in any form of combat and ease of casting depends upon one's dedication to The Strictures. Along with the spells those trained in Enaction have their souls strengthened, more resistant to Soul Puppetry and outright immune to corrupting changes such as Shade parasites or the Frost Witch curse.
