Willow Hollow was a Halfling village in Vailor, rife with adventure and mystery. The village was home to dozens of Halflings and lead by 3 Elders, a mayor, and a sheriff. Halfling law was governed by the Elders who made and proposed the law, but the law was upheld by the sheriff and his deputy. As such the mayor was a figure head of the village, often times being elected in order to communicate with 'bigguns' or other nations.

The Halflings faced many great dangers: necromancers, bears, and Orcs. In spite of this, life remained peaceful and the Halflings were often spotted standing outside of the tavern, eager to start a conversation and share a drink with visitors and friends.

Willow Hollow

History

Willow Hollow was founded by Andwise Peregrin I, a rambunctious and well respected Halfling. The village was established after the forceful removal of the Halflings from modern day Luciensport and the failed settlement in Urguan.

The Halflings began under the mayorship of Gilbert Brandybottom, and quickly commandeered a boat that was docked just outside of town. The boat is used for fishing excursions and exploring the waters of Vailor. Farms and a windmill were quickly built as the Halflings found a new place to call home.

Under the guidance of Larry Shortoak and Mayor Berilac Weedsnatcher, Willow Hollow underwent a golden age of culture and prosperity. The establishment of the National Shogging League and a multitude of architectural pieces have showcased the talent Halflings have. It is rumored that the great tinker Andwise had experimented with air travel, making a balloon that was anchored just outside his workshop. The town was haunted, plagued by necromancers and ghouls. Many old Halflings had returned from long ago, the famed Bolo and Fumble Willowbottom had returned from overseas. Milo and Rupert Herbwallow had also returned. Many Halflings partook in Shogging as the summer months arrived.

The town featured many distinct architectural buildings including Tibb's outhouse, Doc's Lighthouse, and the Whining Pumpkin.

Some claim the lighthouse was haunted by a Elven ghost waiting for her husband to return home from war.

Willow Hollow Law

The Halflings follow traditional law. They do not have traditional leaders, instead they look to the guidance of Elders and the mayor who uphold the laws of the village. The Mayor is in charge of all executive decisions and communication with those that come from afar.

The Halfling life is peaceful, they do not lock their doors and they are warm and welcoming of all walks of life. It is rare to see a Halfling with an ill temper. They do not use traditional weapons, however they are often quite dangerous when handed a shovel.
