An unknown artist’s rendition of Urguan’s surrender to High King Verthaik II Frostbeard.
After five years of war and two major battles lost, Grand King Frerir Irongrinder abdicated the throne and left Fili Grandaxe as Regent. Fili swifty made contact with High King Verthaik II Frostbeard and surrendered Urguan to the Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah

Overview

After the catastrophic defeat at Fort Vanir in Southern Haense, Urguan was open for assault from Kaz'Ulrah and it's allies. Quickly after the defeat, Grand King Freir Irongrinder removed himself from the Obsidian Throne and appointed Fili Grandaxe as Regent. Fili was under a lot of pressure from all sides to make a move and bring peace. Realizing that the armies of Kaz'Ulrah far outnumbered their own, Fili was forced to reach out to High King Verthaik II Frostbeard and attempt to secure at least partially favorable surrender terms for his side.

The Surrender

By the 19th of the Grand Harvest, 1636 the war was all but over with a few pockets of resistance proving tough to crack in Urguan. Public support for the war was nearly non existent and there were not enough soldiers left to even hold the border, much less defend anything. Seeing no other path, Fili journeyed for Jornheim where he met with High King Verthaik II Frostbeard and the rest of his council. After a short hour of talking, the terms were drawn up. Urguan would surrender all it's territory and the entirety of the treasury. In addition to that, if the armor of Urguan was discovered it would be immediately handed over to Kaz'Ulrah.

On the Urguan sided, it was granted that the sites of Shix Fort, Kal'Sitarae and Arcadia would remain independent. Should any of those sites unite under a sort of confederation, or attempt to become a place where Dwarves gather, the treaty would be considered null, and Kaz'Ulrah would be within their right to declare war and seize the offending territories.
