The National Party was founded in the crucible of the city of Providence, from the foundations of the Commonwealth Club - a political discussion society and exclusive club based out of Helvets Avenue. The first ‘Commonwealthers’, chiefed by Ciprian de la Baltas, originated as a broad-based coalition who resolved to stand for honest government, anti-machine politics, and fiscal responsibility. Since that time, they have rebranded themselves the National Party, and taken the colours of the flag as their own. With the dissolution of the Holy Orenian Empire's political structure under the reign of Philip II, Holy Orenian Emperor, the party faded into obscurity.
