The Court of Oren is the standing system of courtiers and councilors that reside within the imperial palace of the Holy Orenian Empire beside the ruling house, currently the House of Novellen. The imperial court is a vital part of Orenian society and has been for centuries, being a hotspot of cultural enterprise and the upkeep of high society. However, it is also a point of great controversy and criticism since the Dawn of Oren as a result of the pomp and exclusivity exuded as a place of strict hierarchy between noble and commoner that is rivaled by little other courts. A strong court has been an integral part of a strong government since the times of the Horen Restoration, when the palace morphed into a center of activity, and a performance of power and unity. Throughout orenian history, there have been countless court reformations, declines, scandals and etc, that have happened in the courts, with more recent periods seeing a stagnancy in the functions of court positions.

Public Perception
The Petrine Courts were frequently ridiculed by the public as a place of ignorant indulgence by 'impious privileged women and their adulterous cohorts in men'. Its public perception was scandal-ridden, with various women and men once tied to the courts going on to become markers of infidelity and nescience towards the struggles of the lesser advantaged. The most particular case of this ridicule was directed entirely to those who would be known as the close friends of Prince Philip Aurelian. His first wife, Amadea of Pompourelia, was among the most corrupt, the little audiences she held with commoners often ending on sour notes and with many noting her reckless habits of drinking and consumption of expensive treats, as well as the mollycoddling of their imperial children. His lover, Governor Mary Casimira of Carrington, only exemplified this by revealing her adultery with the Prince, which led to his ultimate death at the hand of her blade. Before this, his second wife, Charlotte of Aldersberg, was whispered to be a nepotist at large, her curation of the Social Season showing extreme preference to singularly her daughters.

The Court of Oren was the standing system of courtiers and councilors that resided within the imperial palace of the Holy Orenian Empire & Orenian Kingdom beside the ruling house, the latest- and final -being the House of Novellen. The court was a vital part of Orenian society and had been for centuries, being a hotspot of cultural enterprise and the upkeep of high society. However, it was also a point of great controversy and criticism since the Dawn of Oren as a result of the pomp and exclusivity exuded as a place of strict hierarchy between noble and commoner that was rivaled by little other courts. A strong court had been an integral part of a strong government since the times of the Horen Restoration, when the palace morphed into a center of activity, and a performance of power and unity. Throughout orenian history, there had been countless court reformations, declines, scandals and etc, that had happened in the courts, with more recent periods seeing a stagnancy in the functions of court positions.

Notable courts included that of John III and his consort Julia of Furnestock's, which was a court that holds remembrance in history for its exhibitions of art and power. Another would be that of the Emperor of Man, Augustus and his consort Helen of Carolustadt's, with the presence of Maria Viktoria of Krajia, a beloved socialite who molded the courts and fashions of Renatus at her will.
