Prelude

The Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah was the final nation standing against the Empire of Man, with whom they had been feuding against for years prior the Third Coalition War. As the Empire grew weary of this, they would begin preparation for the siege of their capital, in order to finish the last remaining member of the Anti-Empire Coalition. As the Empire prepared, the leaders of Kaz'Ulrah, most notably High King Thoak Goldhand, the High King of Kaz'Ulrah, met within its deep halls. There, they were given the choice to blow up the foundations of the cavern which held it up, leaving nothing for the Imperial Alliance, or fight to the last man. Unanimously, they agreed to fight to the last time. The rest of the Coalition had also faced other troubles, as the Rex, Guruuk'Lak, and two Brawm commanders were held by the Sky-Gods prior. Despite this, Glottgut'Raguk would lead the effort in building better and stronger defenses for Kaz'Ulrah.

Battle

After approximately a year of preparation, the Empire of Man and its allies would begin its siege of the capital of Kaz'Ulrah, Kal'Tarak. The forces of the Coalition were rallied underneath High King Thoak Goldhand, yet Glottgut'Raguk and Denis the Quick-Blade took control of the defenders. As Aurelius I, Emperor of Man stared at Kal'Tarak, he would order the bombardment phase that would last throughout most of the siege until Prince Augustus Horen along with Prince Cassius began the advancement of their armies to check the gates defenses. Soon, as the army arrived neared the gates, they would be met with deadly arrow fire, as dwarven-engineered arrow slits opened up from the walls. The Imperial Alliance were pushed back, losing a small number of troops, and were forced to find another entryway.

An hour would pass before the Alliance forces were able to find a thin layer of the mountain that could be blown with trebuchets, in order to make an entryway into the city. As a small group of scouts ran into Kal'Tarak, they would first be met with no sort of engagements until they began to make their way to the gate from the cliff side. The scouting forces would then be met with the Coalition forces as they began to skirmish for only minutes. Few scouts survived, and the forces of the Coalition had moved from the dwarven battlements overlooking the gates to the southern cliff-side. As the rest of the Imperial army had arrived, they would attempt to rush across the cliffs into the city, yet a hole that needed to be jumped over claimed many lives. There, the charge was called off, and a constant skirmish between the two forces would commence. Some of the Imperial forces had fallen safely into the Kal'Tarak river, and would attempt to climb their way up from the mushroom forest. Under the command of Glottgut'Raguk, a portion of the forces would be split, in order to hold them off. However, as time dragged on, the Imperial forces still on the opposite cliff side would begin to gather up, holding together in a tight shield formation that would block any oncoming arrows. Prince Cassius Horen would gather these forces to do a final push that would break through the Coalitions ranks. As the Imperial forces charged across the cliff side, led by Prince Cassius, many would fall into the mushroom cavern below. However, enough had came across for Glottgut'Raguk to sound a retreat into the throne room. The Imperials followed, but Glottgut'Raguk would close the gate between the inner battlements and the inner throne room, in order to close off their largest weakness.

The two forces would remain at a standstill, until a hole in battlements inside and above them allowed Imperial forces to enter and set up siege ladders, in order to attack the Coalition below. The Coalition moved behind the gates of the council chambers, their last point of defense. The Imperial Alliance moved their rams inside the throne room to batter down the gate, and in response, Glottgut'Raguk sounded a charge into the inner battlements, where a fewer number of Imperials remained out of desperation. Completely outnumbered, the trapped Coalition forces would fight to the death, with very few escaping. Thusly ended the Siege of Kal'Tarak, and the territory of the lands of Ulrah would be claimed by the Empire of Man.
