Siege of Blackreach

The Siege of Blackreach was a siege led by the Duchy of Riviä and their allies, against the Barony of Blackreach and their allies who were besieged inside their castle on 8th of the Grand Harvest, 1675. The Siege was a decisive victory for the Barony of Blackreach and its allies.
Prelude
With the defeat at the Siege against the van Platens, Thomas would suffer many casualties resulting in him losing numbers within his ranks. Luckily with the newly formed alliance with the Kingdom of Haense he would begin to make plans on marching upon the Barony of Blackreach who had declared themselves independent after leaving the Duchy of Riviä peacefully. Lord William Jameson would hear of Thomas's plans from a few spies within Riviä before making plans of his own. William would then receive a bird from the Baron of Vasile, Charles Halcourt, who had wished to join the war against Riviä. This action would make Thomas furious as he would begin to make camp in front of Blackreach outside of its wooden walls.
Battle
As the war camp was finished Thomas would wait for a few hours before a Haensetic regiment arrived led by Wulffery Skarpefanger, Thomas' brother in law. William would cease the opportunity seeing that the enemy was distracted, with the arrival of their ally, would then lead a small force of Blackreach men towards the regiment disrupting them killing only a few before Thomas would command some of the Riviäns to engage against the Blackreach men. The fight would rage on for a bit as the Blackreach men began to do guerrilla warfare on the Riviän and Haensetic regiment before a Riviän trebuchet shot would hit the back of the wooden castle. With the Riviäns making a hit on the walls William would quickly command a retreat back towards the fort being covered by Charles Halcourt who was commanding the men inside the castle.
The Riviän and Haensetic men would charge towards the castle some of them falling to bolts and arrows as they hit the icy cold snow before placing their ladders upon the walls beginning to climb upon it. Charles would then command his archers and footman to push back the Riviäns off the ramparts. This would be a success as the Riviän and Haensetic regiment would fall back after losing many casualties. William and Charles would then command for a full charge upon the Riviäns chasing them back towards the war camp. Thomas and Wulferry would begin to command their men to hold the gate before being routed by the Baronies of Blackreach and Vasile.
Aftermath
The Blackreach victory would be a turning point from losing war into a winning war for the Barony of Blackreach. With the victory, William and Charles would begin to make plans on what to do next towards the Riviäns resulting the war becoming a stalemate for a few years.
