Sir Robert Archibald Galbraith, 1st Baron of Rivia was born in the Commonwealth of Kaedrin, while his father was stationed there as a member of the Imperial State Army's 3rd Brigade. Following in his father's footsteps at the age of 16 he commissioned into the Imperial State Army ,two years before the evacuation to Almaris. During his service he gained praise for his ability in regards to scouting and reconnaissance, known by his comrades for his camouflage and cold weather prowess.

Early Life

Robert was born in Kaedrin during the year of 1778 , he spent most of his early years with his tutor. However he always longed to follow in his father Willem Galbraith's footsteps and join the Imperial State Army's 3rd Brigade, also known as the Helena Dragoons. Robert spent the vast majority of his spare time wandering the hills of Kaedrin. In his later years however, he set his mind upon learning the skills of his father and training for later life devoting large amounts of his time to reading and study.

Military Career

In the year of 1793, two years prior to the evacuation of Arcas, Robert commissioned into the Imperial State Army setting his mind upon joining the 3rd Brigade and becoming the Master of the Vanguard. Shortly after his commission he was flung into his own baptism of fire: The evacuation and destruction of Helena. The young Cadet was one of the first responders to the attack and fought day and night against the invaders in order to ensure as many civilians as possible could escape to the Eye of man. Later, as the city fell apart; Robert, alongside many of his comrades in the Imperial State Army moved to the Eye of man setting up tents and beds for the now refugees.

Following his graduation from the Combat Academy, Robert joined the Helena Dragoons swiftly taking up the billet of Master of the Vanguard and promoted to Lieutenant. While being a Lieutenant due to the lack of conflict at the time , Robert took up many pass-times including falconry and hunting, utilizing his skills as a Lieutenant of the 3rd Brigade he excelled in many of these hobbies; although he was never satisfied with such always longing for more. As such was the case Robert spent much of his Military life off in foreign-far away lands providing the Imperial State Army with useful reports and reconnaissance. Years later Robert Archibald Galbraith was promoted to Captain of his Brigade, entrusting him with the duty of maintaining, managing and commanding it.

During the second major engagement of his career the Battle of the Kahaen Sea in 1812 Robert, a Captain at the time, along with Ensign Caspian d'Arkent and HIH Anne Caroline led the H.I.M.S Empress Anne against the force of large Man O' War ship and a sloop. As the Rebels boarded the H.I.M.S Empress Anne, Robert lead a successful counter-charge against them ensuring that the damaged ship and her wounded would be able to return to Providence safely. During this engagement Captain Robert Archibald Galbraith sustained wounds to both his right leg and left arm during the explosion of many of the cannons upon the bow of the ship, despite this the young Captain soldiered on and continued to rouse his men. Most likely only worsening his wounds in the process.

5 years after fighting in the Battle of Robert's Folly (1812), hearing word of Bandits south of Redenford Robert Archibald Galbraith lead men from his own Brigade, the Helena Dragoons, to scout and eliminate the Bandit threat. Upon moving towards the encampment without the knowledge of the Bandits below Robert positioned his men surrounding the camp and with crossbows drawn they fired upon it, killing two with the first shot and wounding others, ordering his men to shout as they fired in order to give the impression of a larger force. After the initial volley the 3rd Brigadiers charged into the encampment killing all but one, whom they captured and interrogated in return for important intelligence and information regarding the operations of the Redhoods near Redenford.
