Richard of Kaedrin, colloquially known as Richard Victor Helvets was born the sixth son of Adrian I of Kaedrin, (1736) the 1st Count of Rochefort. He is widely regarded to be the last great rural statesmen of the Commonwealth before it's dissolution post the election of Anne I. (1785) He was the revered Governor-General of Kaedrin, and served in many other capacities during his long career; as Lieutenant-Governor, in the House of Lords, and for a time as an Imperial Senator. He was notorious in life for speaking truth to power in Imperial circles, for his centrist disposition, and for his distaste for privilage foremost.
He died (1802) in Haense heavily degraded in his old age by stress, diagnosed by a doctor in court and swiftly beheaded after the attempted murder of his daughter Theodora Angelica Helvets after she had participated in a riot protesting the ascent of Owyn III to the Pontificate.
