The Principality of Venerra, otherwise known as simply Venerra or The Grimm Princedom, is one of the many human civilizations that rests upon the continent of Aeldin. Sharing borders with the lands of Agathor, Tyr, Brecht and Anassaint, the region of Venerra is covered with dark forests of pine and tall looming mountains with low-lying valleys. The lands of Venerra are held by the House of Grimm, who reign as Princes of the region from their keep, known as Stronghold. The expanse of Venerra encompasses the holdings of Glythen, Salma, and Greywater along with various other smaller gentry homesteads.

In 1781, following the passing of her elder brother, Lady Ceriwym Grimm became Countess of Glythen and heir to the principality. Upon her father's death in 1786, she ascended to the throne of Venerra as Princess. Refusing to renounce her marriage to Timothée Ashford de Aryn, she would cement herself as the final ruler of Venerra from House Grimm. Unless she is predeceased by her own children, the small mountainous nation prepares for the ascension of a new ruling house.
