Political Systems

All of the nations in Anthos have a different political system that provides the leadership within their lands. Each nation has its own specific political structure. These structures change over time. ((Outdated, Dwarves, Hanseti, Salvus, Holm, Seventis all need confirmation nothing has changed, updating or other information))

The Elves

The High Elves of Haelun'or are led by a council known as the Heial'thilln (meaning Silver Council in Elven.) Though most of the positions are reserved exclusively for High Elves, though there are positions for the other subraces. However, periodically the Heial'thilln is dissolved and replaced by the tilruir system which is a simplified, less political system led by the Maheral instead of a Triumvirate. Heial'thilln:

Led by a Sohaer (meaning leader by teaching.) The Sohaer may listen to the Heial'thilln's decisions, though they are not bound by them. The Heial'thilln consists of Okariran, who led several parts of the nation.

=List of Okariran (incomplete):

Okarir'tir, master of law. Okarir'mali, master of the citizenry. Okarir'tanya, master of magic. Okarir'indor, master of the Eternal College. Okarir'lliran, master of diplomacy. Okarir'leyun, master of beauty & construction. Okarir'san, master of propaganda. Okarir'ame, master of the Wood Elf district; the position may only be held by a Wood Elf. Okarir'ker, master of the Dark Elf district; the position may only be held by a Dark Elf.

The Orcs

The Orcs were governed by The War Uzg, but they are now led by the Chieftain or Wargoth of their respective clan. Some universal laws that most orcs follow are:

Denial and ridicule of Whitewashes High respect for Shamans and other high officials within the Clan Punishment for stealing, killing without reason, and vandalizing Mistreatment of other Clan members Speaking the Common tongue to other orcs

And others. ((To be added)).

The Dwarves

Dwarves are led by a King or Queen. Dwarven Kingdom:

A King has the power to Veto and automatically pass one law in a certain period of time. His vote in decisions counts for 3. An unpopular King may be removed by vote and replaced by a member of the High Council (also by vote) (voting parties include the High council and Barons of the kingdom). Governed by a High Council. 5 lords have the voting power when it comes to major decisions in the kingdom. There is also an Advising Council.

Council members consist of:

Yemekar's Pick

Master Engineer Forge Master Grand Merchant Lord Marshall of the Legion Archbishop

The Humans

The Human nation known as the Imperium of Oren is an absolute monarchy ruled by an Emperor, who is aided by the nobles.

Led by the Emperor, who has the final say in all matters. The Privy Council advises the Emperor and is composed mostly of nobles and clergy. Nobles that own land are given local control, allowing the King to focus on serious matters and let the nobles handle local issues. The clergy will advise the King and sit on the Council and handle religious matters.

Oren

Oren of Aegis was an absolute monarchy.

Led by a King/Queen. King has near-absolute power (but his decisions must please his lords, lest a coup occurs). Can elect a second in command as Seneschal. In the King/Queen's absence or if he/she steps down on short notice, their Senschal will replace them. Various Lords control smaller sectors and report/pay tax to the King. Coup-de-tats are not unheard of if the King is too unpopular. If the Seneshcal is also unpopular than the most powerful lord assumes temporary control until they can elect which lord assumes the throne. The High Priest serves as the King's left hand and religious leader. He acts as a liaison to the Temple as well as a possible ambassador to other nations.

Former Systems

Kingdom of Renatus Under the rule of King Eze'kiel Tarus the Phoenix King was the absolute authority of the kingdom but was aided in making decisions by a Council. King Tarus dissolved the Phoenix Council shortly after arriving in Asulon. Under the rule of Regent Reynard Lycian, the Ashen Council was established to aid the Regent in his ruling of Renatus. Under King Godfrey I of Horen the Council was again dissolved. The King had absolute rule over the kingdom and was advised by his noblemen. The nobles occupied important military and religious posts and also controlled areas within the kingdom. Hanseti ((Needs info.)) Salvus ((Needs info.)) Seventis ((Needs info.))

Holm

((Info needed.)) Alras Alras was led by the High King and the Council. Led by a High King.

The High King is the supreme leader of the nation as well as the Commander and Chief of the Alras military. Appointed for life until death or resignation, at which point the Viceroy takes over until a new High King can be appointed. The Viceroy is appointed through nomination by the High King. They act as second in command and assume the responsibilities of the High King in his absence. The Viceroy is the most trusted adviser to the High King and answers to no one but the High King. If both the High King and Viceroy are unable to rule responsibility falls to the highest-ranking Council member. If Alras is at war then leadership goes to the highest-ranking military officer.

The Council

There are seven council members chosen by the citizens of Alras. The council cannot vote unless all seats are filled. Duties include establishing price ranges for goods bought and sold in Alras, documenting laws, ratifying trade agreements, affirming the position of Viceroy, and appointing a new High King when there is a need for one.
