Archduke Paul I, known otherwise as Paul Salvian, was a Novellen dynast of the 19th century most famous for founding the Commonwealth of the Petra and reigning as its first Archduke. His part in the Acre Rebellion and the successor state of the Harvest Confederacy is often disputed; what is known, however, is that under his rule the desolate Upper Petra was repopulated with his own soldiers and camp followers to the extent that his own state was able to declare its independence in the year 1882.
