Olivier Renault Ashford de Savoie (1793-Present), was the only legitimate son of Griffith Ashford de Savoie and his wife, Maria Luisa Ashford de Bar, and therefore the natural heir to the esheveurd house of Savoie upon his birth. He is known for leading the re-emergence of the savoyard houses and cultures within Oren and humanity after 3 centuries of their obscurity.

Born a commoner within the Holy Orenian Empire, he would join the Sedan Rebellion in his adolescence in an attempt to re-establish the identity of the bygone houses of Oren, though fleeing Oren with the newly-established Metinan Mercenary Company after the Rebellion proved unsuccessful. From the ashes of their failure, the Metina Company established the City-State of Luciensburg as a place for Oren-disgruntled refugees, with Olivier being made one of 3 Consuls of the City by Interrex Bernard de Salier.

As consul, he became a controversial leading figure of the Tenth Nordling War by accepting Oren's contract against the Norlanders despite ardent anti-Orenian sentiment within the city. Thus, he is credited with Oren's overarching victory in the war. However, his allegiance to Luciensburg was cut short after an attempted assassination by what is suspected was a fellow consul's attempt to remove Olivier out of the running for future King of Luciensburg due to what was perceived as 'sycophantly behaviour towards orenian leadership', though such an assassination failed and only left the man with a dismembered hand, which he replaced- famously-with a pure gold glove.

After the failed assassination, Olivier wandered aimlessly with his wife, Adeline Helvets, and 3 of their 5 children, until he decided to move to Oren and swear his allegiance to Emperor John VIII, joining their other 2 children in the Augustine Court.
