Nordling War is a term used by the Holy Orenian Empire to refer to a broad range of conflicts involving the Kingdom of Norland or its antecedents. It is used almost exclusively in the Holy Orenian Empire, and the term is highly disputed outside of its borders on two bases: 'Nordling' is generally considered to be a derogatory term for the Norlander ethnicity, and many of the conflicts did not involve the Holy Orenian Empire itself, but other human states which it claims as its predecessors. Additionally, Norlanders were not always the primary belligerents in these wars. The term came into common parlance during what the Empire calls 'The Tenth Nordling War', referred to as "The War of Three Kingdoms" by Norland and its allies.
