The city was the seat of the House of Barbanov, who resided in the palace of Krepost in the easternmost district of the city. The city was a paramount site of acitivity within the Kingdom of Haense, and was the most frequented settlement of any in the nation.

History

Construction

Within the year 1641, the city of Markev was built after several months landing in Atlas. Markev would be named after King Marius Barbanov. The city would be built during King Otto II's reign. The few trees around the area were cleared before the masons of Haense began to work on the walls. After they were done King Otto II of Haense would then decide to make the city color to red which would develop the city's nickname of the Red City.

Geography

The city was settled far south near the Czena River, that rested to the east of it, on top of a large hill past a large statue of a stallion. The terrain would seem to be a bit rough leading into it and its surroundings. Outside the city walls towards the west a small little village of farmland would lay that would help feed the population within Markev. Within the city walls would lay many houses as well as the church and the palace of Krepost that is stationed towards the east side of the city almost towering over the Czena river. As you would enter the city the road would lead straight through the tavern before entering the city fully.
