The Lur Clan was formed by Lur, one of the four sons of Krug. The clan has a long history in Orcish culture, standing itself alongside the Gorkil and Azog clans as some of the longest in existence. A standing tradition in the Lur clan are the roles of Lur -- the Fist, Trickster, Sword, Wolf, and Axe. Each role had a specific purpose in Lur's life, and thus serves as a reminder in the current clan honors. It was said long ago that the original Lur and Gorkil were brothers under Krug himself. The Lurs are not footmen, they are hunters. The hunt is the most important thing for a Lur and to prove themselves in the hunt is what all young Lurs wish to do. The Lurs have a bond to The Great Lur wolves. The Great Lur wolves are huge beast that only obey the Lur clan. When Lurs ride wolfs they are almost unbeatable in mounted combat.

Lurs are most of the time quiet and stoic, from the moment they wake, they devote themselves to the perfection of whatever they pursue. Every Lur strives to perfect the hunt and the rise. They have a strict code of conduct and believe in honour above all.

Lurs don't like to deal with politics for they think that staying in an office and discussing politics is extremely boring and would much rather enjoy the thrill of the hunt. But when they need to discuss politics and papers they will do it but not happily. Even so, in polities they believe it is better to be the wolf than the sheep.

Lurs are usually smaller than other Orcs but they are much quicker and much more agile. The weapon of choice varies from bloodline to bloodline but all Lurs are masters of the spear.

Government: The Lur clan is ruled by a Wargoth who is chosen by either a klomp or unanimously elected by the elders of the Lur. The Wargoth must always listen to the advice that the Clan father will give, the clan father is usually the oldest and most wisest Orc in the clan.

Current Wargoth: Falum'Lur: Marijuanaology

Current Clanfather: Eath'Lur: Sandk1ng

Current Packmaster (Person who takes care of Lur wolf pups and Lur wolves in general, normally being the Wargoth): Jukha'Lur.

Elders, an elder of the Lur clan represent the bloodline of one of the heroes of the age of heroes. The current elders are: Eath'Lur

History

-Lur is Born

-Lur meets Or who would be later called “the Shaman” of Lur and then the “Traitor”. Or became Lur’s best friend and his best blood rider until his betrayal in San’lur.

-Lur meets Kurak who would be later called the “Wolf of Lur.” Befriending Kurak Lur begins the pact with the giant wolfs popularly known as Lur Wolves. To this day the Lur’s use wolves as mounts and treat them as their brothers.

-Lur tames a Scadernack called Kuron. It is the first sighting of an ork taming a Scadernack other than Krug.

-Lur meets “the Trickster, The Masked One with No Name.” Lur saves the trickster from 6 orcs and becomes his friend. The Trickster would serve as Lur’s and his clan as a trusted advisor and a diplomat to other clans and factions.

-Lur meets Tor who became the “Fist of Lur.” After Lur leaves he would be the regent of the Lur Clan.

-Lur meets Jarkan who would later become known as the “Sword of Lur.” He was the only orc other than Krug and his first 4 sons that could run almost outrun Lur.

-Lur meets Bralkor who would later become known as the “Axe of Lur.” Axe at first disliked Lur and even saw him as a challenge. Lur saved him and the rest of his troops and then Bralkor befriends Lur and joins Lur’s group.

-Lur slays the “Three Headed Wolf” who had been raiding the orc camp. After Gorkil and Rax failed to slay him Lur hunted the beast and took his severed white head in a pool of blue blood as his crest.

-Lur leaves the orc camp and is the first son of Krug to do it. Alongside his 6 bloodriders and the rest of his hunting party, they hunted for one hundred years, which became to be known as the “Hundred Years Hunt.”

-Lur conquers a human city that would later be called San’lur. When the city was conquered he stopped his grand hunt and founded the Lur Clan, with their base in San’lur.

-Or is caught by Kurak as he was torturing an orc and human to experiment on creating a perfect breed of soldier. Lur then banished Or and branded him as “The Traitor.” Or in return promises that his vengeance would be swift and painful.

-The Trickster begins his many adventures throughout the world. He snuck into an Elven city using a cutout of a High Elven lord and stole a roof.

-Lur leaves the Lur Clan after 75 years of leading it. He promises his brothers he would return for the final battle and in the final hour they would fight as they did in the times of old. Tor takes leadership of the Lur clan at the request of the other Bloodriders.

-Bralkor is killed after halting a human invasion on his own so his men could warn the others. It is said that after his torso was severed from his legs, he still killed around 10 men.

-Jarkan the sword delays a dwarven line long enough so his brothers could meet the dwarven line, flank and destroy it. Jarkan dies right before the reinforcements can arrive.

-Kurak the “Wolf of Lur” dies after going in a suicidal rampage after his wolf is killed by an unknown group of orcs. It is said he killed everything in his range even orcs from clans like Gorkil, Dom, and Rax.

-The Trickster leaves the Lur. His fate remains unknown.

-Tor is the last Bloodrider remaining and decides that his time is almost over.He leaves the leadership of the clan to a council of elders. He founds a small village at the edges of the Lur lands. This marks the end of the Age of Legends, when the last of them die or retire to death.

Pre Clan-War Period Begins'

-The Lur Clan begins an expansion through all of their territory, founding villages and towns in many places to increase their power. The most famous is the Goblin City of “Lur Falls” the colonies in the Whispering Isles.

-The Lurs invent their own form of rule and inter-clan politics. This rule is where each tribe has an elder and they fight the other elders of their family line to see who will be the leader of their family line. The leader of each family line then fights the other leaders to see who will be the leader of the Lur Clan. All of the elders of all tribes come together in San’lur during the celebration of the day Lur founded the clan.

-The Lur Clan signs the Rider Pact with the Gorkill and Rax clan. Which stated “If the Orc lands were ever invaded by a foreign power the Lurs would serve as the mounted warriors against the enemy.” The Dom refuse to sign it in spite of the Lurs.

-The Lur Riders repel an elf invasion with no aid from the others who signed the pact. This serves as an example for the isolationist lurs that all the other clans were useless and should not be trusted. The rider pacts is quickly dissolved.

-The Khor clan a more radical type of Sons of the Wolf’s sons appear. They are a vassal clan of the Lurs. The Khor’s did this so they could be away from all manner of civilization and be closer to the wilds, such as the Lurs.

-Prophets of the Return of Lur begin to appear in many small villages making some of the isolationists believe that then end was near and that war was coming. These lurs rode out to all directions wreaking havoc and chaos wherever they passed. Many were killed but the majority of them were rein in by the Council of Elders.

-Descendants of Jarkan who were opposed living simple lives and began to improve their speed like the founder of their dynasty brroke from the other sons of the Sword to form the Dash Clan who were focused on speed. In honor of their founder Dash they name their Clan and the Plains they reside in “Dash.”

-Gob the Last Direct Descendant, of Bralkor the Axe of Lur forms his own sect focused on always training and being against all idleness. They form the Gob clans who took the mountains near San’lur. They vow to be the eternal guardians of the home of Lur.

-The city of San’lur reaches the population of 1000. Most of them Lurs who wish to live a more quiet life or those who wish to serve the clan better protecting and serving their Capital City. Lur Falls becomes the center of commerce for the Lur clan. All those who could not hunt like weaker goblins and orcs with physical disadvantages would go to this city. They primarily traded with the other orc clans but many times they traded with other races.

Clan Wars Period

-The Dom clan and the Gorkil clan assemble their warriors for war. The forces of the Dom clan had been sent to the North to take the Rax Clan by surprise and the Gorkils sent North West to take out the smaller clans.

-The forces of the Dom clan were lead by their Warlord Or’jak. They were repelled by Tythor and his warriors .In this battle of the “No Orcs Land.” In this battle Or’jak was killed by Tythor and many of the Dom shamans were killed by Tythor and his warriors.

-Around this time Or’ta the son of Or’jak learnt of his fathers defeat. It is said that when this happened Or’ta secluded himself for 5 days and during this time he signed a pact with the most hated enemy of Krug, Iblees. When he came out of his seclusion he transferred his dark knowledge to his shamans and ordered them to treat the spirits as slaves. Or ‘ta also enslaves a tribe of orcs of the east and changes their bodies genetically to become bigger and stronger. The Lurs send a messenger to all the participants of the war that they will not take part in this conflict, for they did not care for it.

-The festival of “Da Gajutar's Dahamab” (The Hunter's Fang) begins. This festival is based on celebrating the beginning of the Great Hunt of Lur. Lurs from all parts of the Lur lands flock to the city of San’lur. It is said that more than 75% of the Lur population was at the city during the festival.

-Or’ta’s dark shamans and warlocks positioned themselves inside the city of San’lur. They stand on the walls of the city and the main buildings of the city. They begin casting their dark magic on the city. No one knows for sure what spells were used but after the attack was done the stone was scorched and burnt, and some of the sand had turned to glass. This was known as the “Massacre of San’Lur” where 75% of the Lur population was killed in under 2 hours without the chance of fighting back. Many of the dead were elders of the Lur clan and children who went to do their trials during the festival.

-The Dom forces marched on all the smaller villages of the Lur clan. The Dash clan who had lost about 60% of their population during the massacre ran from village to village to warn the Lurs and try to regroup them.

-The son of the Warlord of Lur, now the Warlord of the Lur, Are’Lur had been separated from the rest of his clan for he was in a hunt during the festival. He was found by Tythor and tried to warn him of the Dom’s Dark Magic and to take caution. Tythor ignored him and told him to hunt down Dom warriors. This marks the beginning of the Lur Guerrilla Warfare against the Dom Clan.

-A Dom strike force of 80 warriors and shamans are sent to the Dark Pit. The place where the Lurs grow their Scadernacks. The Dom force is tasked with the mission to kill all the Scadernacks and destroy their eggs. The Pit is home to two Scadernacks, Lur’goi the Great Black Scadernack and his mate Nafgar. The High Shaman of the Hunt, Jurak’Lur also lives in the pit. With the help of the Scadernacks Jurak manages to drive off the Dom but at the cost of his life and Nafgar’s. Lur’goi is told to go where the Lurs need him the most.

-Lur Falls is besieged and destroyed. The siege took over two-hundred days. The goblins who lived in Lur Falls used their skills with explosives and traps to delay the Dom as long as possible. After the city was captured, Or’ka the general in charge of the siege ordered that all goblins inside the city were to be tortured and killed.

-The Gob clan believe they have failed their sacred task to protect San’Lur. They go into suicidal killing sprees, killing anything that’s related to the Dom clan. During this killing spree 90% of the Gob clan is killed but for every dead Gob two Doms died.

-Over eight villages were razed to the ground and their inhabitants killed or taken to slave camps. The current Clan Father and Wargoth of the Lur Clan, Craotor’Lur was in one of these villages. He was taken to a fighting pit and stayed there for over 5 years, forced to fight his own kind in pit battles.

-Are’Lur in one of his first Dom hunts, manages to kill Or’ka firstborn of Or’ta. While Are‘Lur and his kin returned to San’Rax they were ambushed by Or’ta’s party who killed all of the hunting party, Or’ta tortured Are’Lur for three days and nights.

-The remaining Lur forces were rallied and lead by Wulf’Lur grandson of the Wolf of Lur. One of the oldest orcs in the whole Lur clan. They marched towards the Voksha River to stop the Dom advance and protect the Lur refugee camp. The Lur’s held the west side of the river and the Dom’s the east side. The Dom’s would take the west side, only to be pushed back by the Lur ,this happened over and over again. Finally, the Rax Clan arrived with enough reinforcements to successfully route the Dom.

-The Khor clan who was not present at the Gajutars Dahamab because of their beliefs that it is better to spend the festival hunting for a whole month, assemble their forces and strike at Dom territory. They strike at the main Dom iron mine. They kill all of the miners and Doms tasked with guarding the mine. This day is remembered as the day the Khor released their full savagery and wolf-like instincts against the enemy. The Khor is then told by Lur messengers to continue ravaging Dom lands while the main Dom army is away.

-The Khor Clan target the Dom Jabernack breeding pit. They assault it and kill all of the Doms there first, then move towards the Jabbernacks. They did not wish to kill the animals for they were in cages and in chains but if they did not do it they would be used against Lur. They regroup with Wulf’Lur’s forces and make their way southeast to Joi with the main warband.

-The Battle of the Nomand Plains happens, the Rax assemble their full army to finish off the Dom’s. The Dom reveal their dark magic and slave warriors to Rax, completely decimating the Rax army. Tythor is killed and Tythus takes his position. Tythus leads his army to what remains of an elf fortress and he names it Sanjezal. The remaining soldiers of Tythus nickname it the home of the survivors.

-The Gorkill and all of its vassal clans leave the Dom because of their use of dark magic. When they return to their home territory they find that humans destroyed their ancestral lands.

-Dom forces besiege San’Rax. The city had almost no defenders for they were all in Sanjezal. The city fell after a brief five days of brutal fighting.

-The Lur forces keep waging guerrilla warfare against the Dom clan. Destroying supply routes, killing scouts and foragers, and hunting down Dom commanders who weren't with their armies.

-The Dom forces try to assault Sanjezal but are repelled by Tythus and his army. Or’ta concentrates his forces on destroying the other clans who were loyal to Rax and leaves a small force to keep an eye on Sanjezal.

-The Battle of Huror’s Maze takes place. The goblins that were loyal to both Lur and Rax band together to revenge their brothers in Lur Falls lead by Huror’Rax. They build massive trench lines with explosive traps. The trench line was a deadly maze, rigged with many traps and pitfalls. The Dom slave warriors quickly became afraid to enter the hellish corridors of the maze. When the numbers of the Dom had finally overwhelmed the Maze the goblins retreated, leaving the corpses of many a Dom behind.

-The Lur army lead by Wulf’lur storm the city of Morgar, this city was where most of the Lur prisoners were being held. It had the largest fighting pits in all of the Dom lands. The city was managed by Orka. One of the greatest generals of Or’ta. The Lur’s stormed it freeing the many prisoners who then took up arms against their former captors. Craotor’lur was one of these prisoners.

-The Dom’s keep expanding their territory towards previously Rax loyal clans and neutral clans. The Lur guerrilla war becomes more intense. They start waging a terror war. Lurs would break the morale of Dom soldiers, even when they turned and fled the Dom could find no solace from the Lur. They were hunted until the Lur could follow them no further.

-The Battle of Silent Woods happens. Seventy-five Lurs tasked with raiding the Dom Jabbernack camp are intercepted in a place called the Silent Woods. The Lurs take the high ground and fight off wave after wave of Dom dark shamans and slave warrios. In this batle the Lurs see hooded figures who were the size of humans with the Dom forces. The Dom clan showed their new experiments to the Lurs in this battle, huge orcs with disfigured faces with three, four and even five arms. Some of them had the tusks of boars or the horns of bulls. The Lurs fought valiantly for five days until a retreat is called. Only twenty Lurs were left of the original seventy-five. Or’ta assembles his forces for a final push on Sanjezal. They assemble near the gates of the city of Sanjezal.

-Or’ta’s army is ready. He has a total of three-thousand men, of those five-hundred were dark shamans, two-hundred Jabbernack riders, sevent-hundred-fifty normal orc warriors, seven-hundred-fifty slave warriors and eight-hundred mutated orc warriors. Tythus has a total of eight-hundred orc warriors. But when the Dom forces charge at the city lightning falls from the sky destroying the Dom forces, with each lightning strike hundreds are killed. The Dom forces are shattered and forced to retreat. This is taken as a sign that Krug was angry with the Dom and this was his punishment. At the end there were less then six-hundred Doms alive. This is the last time Or’ta has been seen for two-hundred years.

-The Lurs hear that the Dom army had been decimated and begin their assault on Dom-occupied territories. They start with Rax Hills, a hilly landscape with three forts each on top of the biggest hills. The Lurs assault one fort at a time using their Scaddernack, Lurgoi, as a siege weapon. The mighty creature destroyed the forts walls and towers with its claws thus allowing the Lur warriors to charge into the fort and eliminate the defenders.

-Wulf’Lur, the commander of the Lur warband, orders his men to march towards San’Dom and liberate all villages on the way. They face resistance from the remaining Dom defenders but the Lur forces quickly overcome them.

-The Lur “army” arives at San’Dom, the dark citadel of the Dom clan. The Lurs arrive with what remains of their clan. Five-hundred Lurs were on the field, they were from many different sects in the Lur and from many different tribes but today they all fought as one. They fought for Lur. The Dom’s had around fourteen-hundred and at least half of those were mutated orcs, they were lead by Huron’Dom the son of Or’ta. The Lurs besieged the city and when the walls fell the Lurs stormed in to the city with savagery never before seen by any orc. Wulf’Lur dies fighting Huron’Dom but his Lur wolf kills Huron. As the Dom’s in the citadel were killed the survivors began to collapse it to try and kill as many Lurs as possible. At the end less then one-hundred Lur’s remained, the remaining Doms ran.

-The Lurs know that the Rax are coming to force them to be a part of the nation. Half of the Lurs leave what remains of the clan to form the Gajutar's Shapag (Hunter’s revenge) and are tasked with hunting down the rest of the surviving Dom.

-The Lurs that stay behind and are approached by the Rax clan and are forced to join the orc nation that would later be called Krugmar,if they did not join they would be killed. This concludes the bloody period in orcish history known as the Clan Wars.

Current Period

-The nation of the orcs is founded. In honor of Krug it is named Krugmar and its capital is where the Rax held off the Dom forces, Sanjezal.

-The Rex title was created and Tythus was crowned the first Rex

-The Dominus title is created. Dominuses were the orcs who could rule over land. The only ones that could hold the title of Dominus were the great veterans of the Clan Wars.

-Rex Tythus orders the Lurs to fulfill hunt quotas each month. This war foreign and strange to the Lurs who were used to hunting only when they were hungry or when they wanted to feel the thrill of the hunt. Being forced to hunt to feed a nation is foreign and uncomfortable to the hunters.

-The remaining Lurs vote on who shall lead them. Bein’Lur is chosen as the leader but he has been missing. While he is gone the Lur elders rule the clan.

-Younger lurs move to Sanjesal to work on improving its great wall. The first Dwarf-Orc War begins and many Lurs are in the frontline. In the last battle of the war, the Battle of the Towers of Aengul and Daemon the Lur’s reinforce the main army but they still are defeated.

-Bein’lur returns to lead the Lur Clan.

-Bein’lur founds the Ferox Legio, a paramilitary guild that serves as the unofficial army of Krugmar. Many Lurs hold high ranking positions.

-Bein’lur is elected as Dominus, he was granted the Ruins of San’Lur.

-Bandits and smugglers found a village in the wreckage of San’Lur. The village is called Riverside. Bein’lur overruns Riverside and destroys those who dared to trespass upon his land. At his side were Craotor’Lur, Tree’bok’Lur and other Lurs wishing to recover their city.

-The village of Riverside is razed to the ground and Bein’Lur founds the city of Sanhar. Bein’Lur leads the clan to prosperity that they had not seen since the Pre-Clan Wars period. The Lur population begins to grow again.

-Or’ta the leader of the Dom clan returns with powers never before seen. He kidnaps Bein’Lur and tortures him.

-Or’ta wages a terror war against the city of Sanhar. He considers the Lurs the reason he lost the war and wishes to punish them.

-Or’ta captures the palace of the Rex Tythus in Sanjezal. He challenges the warriors of Krug to slay him. Many orks come to face him but Or’ta’s dark magicks and the creatures he spawned managed to hold them back. Craotor’Lur charges in past the magicks and and the monsters. He spears Or’ta in the throat and beheads him. He pisses on Or’tas skull and raises it high and claims that the old enemy is dead. Craotor is chosen unanimously by the Lur as the Champion of the Hunt, or Huntzgoth.

-Bein’lur returns but much weaker than before, his mind clearly addled by the torture.

-Bein’lur dies and leaves Tree’bok’Lur as the leader of the clan.

-Mogroka’Gorkil and Gorefang rebel against Rex Tythus for his position, claiming that he did nothing while he was Rex.

-The Lur remain neutral in this conflict until Craotor tells Mogroka “I may not like it but I believe it is needed.”

-Mogroka and Gorefang challenge Tythus for a Rex klomp. Together they defeat Tythus and become Wargoths, together they become joint Rexes.

-Young Lurs who did not fight in the Clan Wars riot in the streets of Sanhar, saying Mogroka did not deserve to be a Wargoth. Craotor and his older Lurs force the young and foolish clan-members to stop. He judges them as traitors against Lur for attacking fellow Lurs and destroying Lur property. He executes them by the old Lur method of releasing them to be hunted down. He takes no pleasure in this.

-Craotor’lur takes control of the Lur Clan after the death of Tre’bok’Lur. He is made Dominus of War, Uzgoth of Sanhar.

-Craotor begins searching for Lurs who were lost in the Clan Wars or at least their descendents. He finds many descendants of Clan Wars heroes or hunters who fought in the war. Some like Aerog’lur, Jarkall’lur and Brevias’lur.

-Craotor’Lur and Mogroka’Gorkil found the official orcish military force, the Krughai.

-Gorefang goes missing and Mogroka’Gorkil is made the sole Wargoth and Rex.

-The war against the Undead rages on. The Lurs fight vehemently against these dark sorcerers, their foul magicks reminding the Lur of the hated Dom.

-Battle for the Undead Keep happens. Many brave orcs died to conquer the cursed keep which was later destroyed by the Undead. The Lurs hunt all the Undead who ran from the keep.

-The Teutonic Order declare war against Oren and the orcs being allies of the Teutonic Order join the war on their side.

-Craotor’Lur leads the charge against Oren. He is one of the first who arrived in Galahar and claimed it for the Orcs.

-Aerog’Lur and five other orcs storms the Whispering Isles even though they are outnumbered. He manages to defeat all of the human defenders losing only two orcs.

-Craotor’Lur and Blawharag’Gorkil help Gaius Marius of the Teutonic Order besiege Alkhazar. The peace deal King Enor Sheffield signs says that the Whispering Isles will go to Krugmar and Mogroka gives the Whispering Isles to the Lur Clan.

-Jarkall’Lur is made huntzgoth after killing hundreds of pig men.

-Krugmar declares war against the Dwarves. This is known as the Second Dwarf-Orc War.

-Craotor’lur hosts a tournament called the War Games. All races were invited, even the Dwarves, the race which was at war with the orcs at the time. The Lur Clan reaches second place in the tournament.

-The Battle of Alras happens, Krugmar assisting the forces of King Syrio Forel. The Lurs fight unhappy because they thought that Alras was full of fat and unhonorable pigs. They only fought out of respect for the Rex.

-The Second Dwarf-Orc War ends.

-The Verge is discovered and its colonization begins. The Lurs were important for orc occupation of the Verge because they served as forward scouts for Krugmar.

-The human Nation of Oren is split apart by rebellion after Gaius Marius receives the crown. The Pheonix Rebellion make an agreement with the Hochmeister to split up Oren’s lands into two seperate human nations, Renatus and Hanseti are formed.

-Great champions are summoned from each of the races to enter the Nether and put a stop to the Undead threat once and for all. The world of Aegis falls to the final throes of Iblees. The Lurs with the rest of the orcs flee to Asulon on boats.
